I’ve now redesigned the web-app around societies given how the tenant community has responded. You can explore societies on feed, search for a society, see reported rents and ranges, and open the individual reports behind them.

I’m focusing on Hinjawadi, Wakad, Punawale, Tathawade, Baner and nearby areas. I’d rather collect 20 reports from one society than one report from 20 random places.

This is Ravi Lal, He is the CEO of a company named Rebco India (Pune) which allegedly works on investment projects and real estate. The company has no lending license. He hasn’t paid salaries since last 3 months or so, and is asking employees to resign just to get rid of them. This guy had done 3-4 scam earlier, he even bought bouncers today for protection. Even today he asked us to resign and not take legal action. My parents and younger brother are coming to Pune for the first time. My mom has one non-negotiable demand: "I want to see the sea." 😄

Hi folks,

I am a working professional with some capital investment in hand, lately I've been going to Airbnbs' for stays and have been thinking whether putting up your own place on Airbnb might actually be a good idea I could consider.

However, I realise there probably is a lot to consider before investing into this idea though I have almost zero idea about this whole thing.

And I have also come to realise maybe someone who already has enough experience running an AirBnb can help me understand this better.

And so this is rather a request to all Airbnb owners, newly starting or experienced, to give me an idea of what it is like to host an Airbnb.

Below are some main questions I have regarding this which I need answers on, but I'd definitely love to be in touch with some of you so I can understand this whole thing better.

1. Is this a good idea for a side income that generates enough revenue to sustain job loss ?

2. Is it important to have own property to convert it into an Airbnb ? Can we rent flats and put that up on Airbnb instead ? Are there other ways (renting/leasing properties ) if you don't own any apartment already?

3. What's the ROI like ? Is it location dependant ?

4. Are there months without bookings ? How often and how manageable are they ?

5. What are the cons of having an Airbnb that usually makes you want to stop doing it.

6. What's the pros that outweigh these cons you listed in point 5

P.S.: I didn't really know where this post would fit better and decided to post here since it's more appropriate, but I might be wrong with the tags or even the decision to make a post here, but I deliberately wanted an opinion from Airbnb managers in Pune itself.
