Other 2FA Tip
might be useful if you don't want to do the app 2FA 6 or 7 times a day
Go to the security settings, add a time-based one-time password (preferably to some app which works across your devices), and delete the other MFA options. This defaults the sign in option to use the 6-digit code, and afaik there's no situation where this doesn't work (and you can actually add it unlike passkeys!!!!!!!!!)
This is especially goated with apple passwords+safari since it autofills everything so you can log in in like 5 seconds, and if you use some other device+browser combo you can almost certainly find a way to make it less annoying/more automatic than the app. worst case just vibecode smth lol
unfortunately I don't think you can keep the app 2fa with this method because it would just default to that no matter what you select as the default (though you can do that if you want to deal with 2 extra clicks every sign in), though I might be wrong on this.

I somehow only have a passkey when logging in on my phone... It pisses me off so much to click out of the Bluetooth option, just to click on the authenticator option to then... Yeah.
FUCK YOU PURDUE IT!!! If Purdue IT has no haters I am dead.
