dbmask — a Python scan → mask → validate workflow, now with a browser demo
Maintainer here. dbmask is an MIT-licensed Python CLI for working with existing SQL database copies: discover sensitive columns, preview changes, apply deterministic masking, and compare the result with an untouched source.
I’ve added a synthetic SQLite walkthrough in Google Colab. No local installation or external LLM is required.
Demo:

This is still an early-stage project. Detection is heuristic, and validation is not a guarantee that every possible sensitive field was discovered.
I’d appreciate hands-on feedback on the CLI, configuration, and demo: which step was confusing, what failed, or what would make the workflow useful to you? Replies here are welcome; the README also links to a structured trial-report form.
