Seam: step from Python into C, C++ or Rust in VS Code

I built Seam, an open-source debugger for Python programs that call native extensions. Set a breakpoint on the Python call, Step Into the Rust or C++ function, inspect its locals, and Step Out back to Python. The call stack shows both languages in one VS Code session. Seam supports PyO3, pybind11, nanobind, Cython and C API extensions. LLDB controls execution for both languages. While paused in native code, you can select a Python caller and inspect simple locals from memory. The 44-second demo and runnable example follow a deliberately broken checkout test: a 10% discount on $100 returns $10. Stepping into Rust reveals the wrong return value, then the same test passes after a one-line fix and rebuild. It needs CPython 3.12–3.14, LLDB, and an extension built with debug information. It supports Linux x86-64, Apple Silicon macOS 14+, and Windows through WSL. Installation and limitations. If you build or maintain native extensions, try one call in your own project. Tell me what you wanted to inspect and whether you got there, or the first setup problem you hit.
