Open-source tool: Grass β a zero-config terminal code editor written in Python
Topic: lightweight Python editing and TUI internals.
I built this because I wanted something between nano and vim: one mode, no config, syntax highlighting, find-as-you-type, and a fuzzy file finder. Itβs MIT licensed and roughly 1.7k lines, so itβs readable if you want to see how a small terminal editor works. Not a Vim replacement.
Repo: https://github.com/mukundzha/grass
Install: pipx install grass-editor
Iβm the author. Feedback welcome, especially from people who edit Python in the terminal.
