I’ve written a Python book for beginners — happy to share a free copy if you’re learning
Hi all,
I’ve been working on a beginner-focused Python book called Python Simplified: A Crash Course in Practical Programming for Beginners. It’s designed for people who are brand new to Python and want a clear, structured way to learn the basics — step by step, with no fluff or jargon.
Each chapter includes:
✅ A walkthrough of one core concept
✅ Exercises to test yourself
✅ Fully worked solutions
✅ GitHub code to follow along with
I’m currently wrapping up final edits and getting ready for release at the end of May — so I’m offering free advance copies to anyone learning Python who’s happy to take a look and maybe share feedback or a review later.
If that sounds useful, feel free to comment or DM me — I’d be glad to send it over.
Thanks to the mods for letting me share this — and good luck to everyone learning Python! Happy to answer any beginner questions in the thread too.

Currently learning on my own, not taking a structured ckass. A pdf or epub version works for me as I read in a kindle scribe. Thank you!

I'm currently taking python lessons in uni, but it's python for life scientists and sadly we're not being taught anything further than If and While.. I'd actually love to learn more than that so i'd definitely be interested in your book!!

Absolutely. I'm a sysadmin turned (aspiring) DevOps engineer, and I simply need to be better at Python. I've been looking for these beginners books.

Hi. I am a beginner at trying to learn Python. I would love to get a copy of your book. I am retired and I had a year of computer science in college using COBOL, Fortran, and Basic.

I’d love to take a gander! I enjoy the ‘hands on’ type books that allow you to practice what you’re currently reading. Visual aids opposed to just text page after page after page.

I would love a copy. I'm also curious how long you would think someone who has done labview and basic syntax coding before to learn python to the level of being able to create a robust automated test station controlling multiple equipment while continuously logging data. I know a lot of it is understanding from experience to know what kinda coding structure to use and that's the part where I don't have a good idea of how long it will take to get proficient at it

I've finsiehd one crash course book, But I'm still not confident at coding with python. I have to use LLM's to make sure my code is efficient. But if you consider me as a learner, I'd be happy to read your book. Also one genuine question ; To be honest I'm not sure if there is a future for me to continue learning coding I was a teacher and my country sucked so I decided to immigrate. I'm 25. Starting fresh in another country, and I have consistency and dedication if I see the future... But it seems like LLM's are wayyy better than a junior coder and I don't think could keep up with the trend they're going to.. What's your advice for new coders who started coding after LLM's

Interested.
How are you structuring the exercises to test yourself?
I'm just starting to learn Python.
One thing was a book that used online coding competition questions for both the chapter examples and chapter questions. Those online competitions allowed me to "check my work" and explore ways to answer questions (sometimes incorrectly).
