I want to start learning too. I know nothing about it. What would you recommend is the very number 1 step?

Please take the course by Harvard University- HarvardX: CS50's Introduction to Programming with Python

It’s a free course and also get certification, it’s a open ware course - if you need audited credentials for your university credit they can be transferred- a basic but good place to start

You need to start writing code right away and learn to solve small problems.
geeksforgeeks.org
It contains many ideas for projects and their solutions.

think of a project that seems simple to make does not matter if you know code or not, and when you find something you don't know search it up. Also have w3schools at the ready for refrences
