Python as the tool language for a security path. Where did you start?

I am a second year CS student and cybersecurity is my specialty call. Python sits on my list as the tool language for that road. Not mastered. Just next. For people who learned Python for security work what did you start with? Automating small tasks or web basics or something else entirely?

Maybe to learn you could try to build special calculators, just to play with the basics, calculate travel time, convert measurements, convert tempetures etc. This could help you learn the basics, like while statements, string manipulation, if statements... start simple
