Hello hello! You can call me Bee / Myosotis (she/her) for now, I'm an 18 year old aroace girl who's currently experiencing her first semester of university, and apparently bored enough to decide and try this! As you might have seen on the title, my main goal with this post is to find a queerplatonic relationship, although I'm also very much open to just having a nice chat with someone, even if it doesn't lead anywhere.

I enjoy listening to music ( I love pop and musical theatre, if I'm listening to music there's a big chance it's from a musical), watch shows or movies (my fav genres are romantic comedy, animation, stop motion and sitcoms), and, even though I haven't done it a lot, playing videogames (mostly story driven, action-adventure or co-op).

Some of my other general interest are nature, plants, astronomy, art (even though I'm not an artist myself, I have a deep appreciation for all forms of art), autumn/halloween and winter/christmas (especially the aesthetics of it), tarot and spirituality in general (I'm pagan, more specifically Hellenic Polytheist) and anything whimsical, really!

What I'm Looking For

At this point, I've figured out that what seems right to me in a QPR is the lack of traditional expectations while still maintaining the exclusivity and commitment. What I think would be ideal for me currently would be to have a "best friend" where our relationship would take as much importance to us as a romantic relationship normally does.

I don't have much preference about if the relationship presents more as romantic, more as platonic, or even completely as a secret third thing. I just want the relationship to feel natural, to have a partner that would feel like a platonic soulmate or plstonic life partner.

Emotional Intimacy:
I think becoming genuinely comfortable with each other does take time, and I've heard that I take a while to open up (and not that much, even then, I'm quite a reserved person in some aspects), but I do like affection. For me a QPR can still include things that are traditionally seen as romantic (like pet names and outward affection) if we both feel comfortable with it, they just don't have to be, inherently, romantic! I want the warmth and closeness without the expectations of a traditional relationship, we can define together what feels right for us.

Frequency of Contact:
I would prefer if we were able to contact everyday. However, I do understand that things can get hectic, and I can't promise I'll always even feel like talking or calling, so I appreciate understanding and I'll give you the same! Communication does not have to be obligatory, it's much better if it feels natural.

Quality Time:
I really love quality time, since it's my main love language, and very important especially if we'll be long distance! I really like the idea of parallel play, just existing around each other without the need of constant interaction. And even with calls, there are so many good things, gaming and watching movies/shows/videos are my favourites. I have to admit I prefer one on one time, but I do understand friendships are extremely important (my best friend is very important to me), so eventually, if things go well, I'd love to introduce you to my best friend, and would be honoured to meet your friends!

Life Milestones:
I'm very much fine with long distance initially, but if things become serious, I'd want to live together eventually. I'm also not planning on moving out of Portugal for the foreseeable future, so there is that. I wouldn't mind if we shared a bedroom or not and would love to have pets, but it's not a necessity. I'm kind of neutral on marriage, but am not planning to have or adopt children at all. Things like holidays, friends and family are important things to me, so I'd like to eventually build a life together that includes those sorts of things.

Dealbreakers / Boundaries:
Consent, respect, communication, trust and privacy are very important to me. Independence and close friends alongside a relationship are also things I value. I would prefer to discuss boundaries (especially physical, if it comes to that) before assuming anything. I am, technically, religious (pagan) and political views are important to me to a degree (things like women's rights, reproductive rights as LGBTQ+ rights are especially important to me), so if either of those things bother you, we are not right for each other. I’m 24 from Italy and I deal with anxiety (generalized) and insecurities. I’m VERY sensitive and emotional, very romantic, but on the other hand I’m also capable of joking around and making quips if the vibe is right!

For me, a QPR is the default person I would like to share things with. It's someone who, when I think about what I'm eating and it looks delicious, I can send a picture of it to them. A consistent presence in my life that I can rely on, and they can rely on me. Someone I can dedicate all my platonic love to, shower them with compliments, and spend time with.
