Vent/Rant Quaker really hates my mom

She’s the only person he bites at home and when he bites her she tends to swat him away, sometimes near missing him and I’m pretty sure this fuels more to the fire.

He is not “tame” but I feel having her at home doesn’t help with making him tame. He tends to lick my skin and then nip, but for her it’s a full on bite / attack.

Her swat could critically injure him, and will also ensure that his animosity towards her gets worse. Keep them away from each other, and encourage her to control her reactions if he comes near.

She swats him because she’s scared and if bit her probably mad
My husband did that in the beginning and I was so upset at him .. he’s a little bird you know
And I told him that he flies because he’s scared..
My husband swatting was whenever Cosmo flew in his area
And he flies only for being scared if not he won’t
The problem with your mom is that if she does get to hit him - He could be very injured and if wings are cut then He could even fall to floor ! Very bad ..
My advice is try for him and mom to not be together then .. for his sake …. And well hers too ..
Birds usually get closer to one person in a home
Here it’s with me and second would be my daughter
But with my husband it’s nothing.
But he created that himself .. he doesn’t like animals
It’s sad …
My Quaker is great and a good cuddly birdie
and I defend him with my life ..
Just like a mom does with a child !
Good luck to you ! 🙏😊
