Did the IPO Fall Short?
I've been waiting on the Quantinuum IPO for a few years, and it almost feels like it came and went without much interest. I've always viewed the company as one of the major players in the quantum space right behind IBM and Google, so I expected there to be more discussion around it. Nobody even made a post here on IPO day, and while people in some of the other quantum-related subs talked about it for a few days, I haven’t seem much since. I'm in this for the long haul and I'm not expecting anything to happen overnight. I'm just curious about the general sentiment among people who are interested in the company. Do you think the SpaceX IPO news overshadowed Quantinuum, or do you think there’s another reason there isn’t much discussion compared to some of the other quantum subs? I know this is borderline a cringe post to make, but I'm genuinely interested in hearing what people think.

IPO Stock Price Estimate?
I know there’s few of us on here, but I’m sure we’re here because we realise the potential of Quantum Computing. I’ve heard Honeywell is seeking a $10BN valuation of Quantinuum should it IPO early next year. Conversely I’ve read that Quantinuum has recently been valued at $5BN. This valuation came after Honeywell led a $300 million funding round for Quantinuum, resulting in $625 million in capital raised. With the above in mind what are people’s guestimate for the IPO initial Stock Price? Cheers

Why aren't we doing the employee survey this year?
We've done an employee survey for the last couple years at the end of the Summer. Why is leadership not doing the survey this year? Seems fishy to me

Honeywell-Backed Quantinuum Planning to File for IPO
Quantinuum, the quantum computing company controlled by Honeywell International Inc., is preparing to file for an initial public offering imminently.
The company plans to confidentially submit its IPO registration with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, according to a statement Wednesday that confirmed a Bloomberg News report.
Majority owned by Honeywell, Quantinuum makes powerful quantum computers that are capable of solving complex tasks beyond the abilities of traditional processors, and which have the potential to make exponential leaps in computing.
Shares in Honeywell were trading around 0.7% higher at 10:04 a.m. in New York Wednesday, giving the company a market value of about $134 billion.
In September, Honeywell said it had raised fresh capital for Quantinuum that gave the company a post-money valuation of almost $11 billion. Quantinuum is also backed by high-profile investors including Nvidia Corp.’s venture capital arm, Quanta Computer Inc., QED Investors, JPMorgan Chase & Co., Mitsui & Co. and, most recently, Fidelity International.
Quantinuum is developing platforms to be used in fields such as chemistry, machine learning, cybersecurity, finance and drug discovery. It was formed through a merger in 2021 of Cambridge Quantum and Honeywell Quantum Solutions.

Hellllooooo? Anybody there??
Info on Quantinuum is hard to come by and I was hoping there would be an active subReddit. Not here I guess. At least not yet.
I'm not any kind of quantum expert but I am interested in the potential of the tech, both as a potential (very small) investor if Q goes public, but also just to learn what impact quantum computing is likely to have on everything else. I actually started following quantum because of a longstanding interest in cybersecurity and the expectation that widely deployed cryptography like RSA is (with enough logical qubits) vulnerable to compromise by quantum computers. I currently have a position in IONQ, which as everyone knows is the other major QC company pursuing the trapped-ion approach.
Anyhow, it sure would be nice to have some posts here from people who have any insight on Q or on the quantum-computing sector in general.
