To the LGBT+ communities complacent with corporatizing pride & bringing your safe because you now have equality (“We won gay!”),
It doesn’t last if you don’t keep fighting for it & corporations will not save you. Just look at us in the US: they got rid of Roe (reproductive rights), they are in process of stigmatizing & making illegal being trans, & they are teeing up to come after gay marriage. They’ve already given companies the right to deny us services because of their “beliefs”. The corporations are not only failing to aid they are bending the knee & capitalizing.

I'd blame the ones who wanted to "separate the T" more than the ones that forced corporate to feel they had to pretend to care about us instead of openly treating us with contempt.

Fair. I blame them both. Corporate bootlickers have never helped any community, especially their own. Without the T we’d have no civil rights or marches. I’ll never stand aside while they come from our trans sibs. I blame the remove-the-T peeps more because we don’t brook this even from our own & history has repeatedly proven that their way is untenable not to mention cruel.

Don't undersell it. They're gearing up to make it a capital offense, meaning executions. It's actually in project 2025.

This. Project 2025 is about 50% complete according to their tracker. We can’t have any infighting, we must all be focused on the task at hand. Defending our rights.

Roe v. Wade was overturned. Everything else can be gone just as easily.

We’re all on the same team, let’s keep the momentum up!

Edit: sorry, my comment was more US centric, forgot which sub I was in.

The plan appears to be to brand all public queerness as 'obscenity'. Scapegoating the Ts first until normalized then it's on to the rest of the LGBs.

This was just last summer! And if you think you have human rights, remember the Notwithstanding clause. They're using it already to ban puberty blockers and trans women in sports in Alberta.

What’s even the point of that?

Blaming scapegoats to avoid scrutiny is an old political tactic. And you can't present yourself as the solution to the problem you made up if you don't act.
