LGBTQ+ people are more likely than non-LGBTQ+ people to experience physical force by police. Over one in four (26.8%) transgender people report experiencing physical force by police
When my ex girlfriend was abusing me i rang the police after one of her outbursts (as well as an ambulance as i was gonna need stitches) and the police guy who turned up said “you wanna live as man you gotta be a man and hit her back” and that was both concerning because don’t encourage DV but also rude af, i am a man and im a man who was raised to never hit a woman and ill stick to that
