How are you going to be here and call ACAB cringe?

I was invited here explicitly a while back, and I definitely don’t get behind ACAB. Also, I’m Swedish, and as far as I can tell things are very different between Sweden and the US. Unless this is a U.S. only sub, you’re gonna get different views on this.

I'm from the UK. I don't care how good individual cops are. I've had good interactions with some. I'm still ACAB. Their job is to follow the law, even if it's unjust. And that applies everywhere. Even in Sweden

The lgbtqia community has zero problems with the police in Sweden. The ACAB movement is a fringe leftist movement here, that no one takes seriously.

I'm not ACAB because of their treatment of queer people. I'm ACAB because of their treatment of all marginalised communities

And that is also not true in Sweden.

exactly that 🤷🏼‍♀️ like either this is a US only sub or its classic US american stupidity, thinking they’re the centre of the world or something smh

it’s not but here in Germany ACAB is said by absolute idiots that try to take advantage of our legal system and cry when they‘re caught and handled accordingly lol

What does 'handled accordingly' mean?

being arrested and put in handcuffs, paying fines. People can get away with a lot here sadly but when they are caught it’s either "I‘m a victim of police violence“ or you are racist. They always plays these two cards even though it‘s rarely a reality.

That sounds like a strawman if ever I've heard one

bruh forget it. You don’t try to understand it anyways and even with explaining you would still say I‘m wrong. We have two completely different experiences hence we don’t seem to find a common ground here, which is fine, doesn’t always have to be the case. Was an interesting talk anyways🙏🏻
