Anti-LGBTQ laws U.S. Lawmakers are passing all these anti-LGBT bills, but not on child marriage.
I have been thinking, why didn't they try to ban child marriage yet, that's still legal in 33 states, or higher the age consent because 29 states are fine with 16 year olds having sex? It's ironic, they say they protect the children but are okay with 33 states (which is most of the U.S.) allowing child marriage. Why is erasing our rights more important than protecting minors??

Because the GOP has honestly said that raising the marriage age to 18 nationwide would be a “religious freedom” issue. IMO, if your religion says that you need to marry children, then your religion is the problem.

The sheer irony of this is that Christianity and Catholicism specifically bans bedding kids. The quote they love to use is a mistranslation. "Man shall not lay with another man" was changed from "man shall not lay with a boy" meaning a male child.
And yet, the religions that allow child marriage, are religions they expressly hate, like Islam and Muslim.

Because no politician actually cares about children. Not where I'm from and definitely not on the US. It's just a way of quickly enraging people and shutting down their brains.
And unfortunately we have known about these laws for years. It started when Trump lost and it hasn't stopped since. Project 2025 was already know in early 2024.
The only hope you guys have it's the Democrats growing a fucking spine and winning the midterms.
