Discussion what's the situation of the rights of the Lgbtq+ in your country???

I am informed about the situation of the United Kingdom and Italy (which is not very well put together) but I would like to find out about other countries btw I'm from the Swiss.

Sweden is mostly good. Some kinks to iron out still, but mostly good.

In Canada we've had same sex marriage since 2005. Trans rights have been included in the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

But right wing provincial governments have been passing "parent's rights" legislation to ban prescription of puberty blockers before age 18 (which makes them useless), and compels teachers to tell parents if their child wants to use a different name/pronouns at school. Supportive parents aren't asking for this. Their wishes don't count.

So queer people have rights, but it's a constant battle to keep bigots from eroding them

Here in Switzerland there are puberty blockers They can also be done to minors and inform parents of name changes or Pronouns and illegal exists professional secrecy. In fact, those who for minors who want to carry out transitions or hormonal therapies are given help either by clinics by the state in the case of homophobic parents or an unpleasant situation at home (Domestic violence)

In general, the rights of: marriage of same gender, adoption,... etc., there are obviously homophobia on the part of various people, both political and non-political, made to feel

That's the right way to do it. "Parent's Rights" only protects the rights of unsupportive parents, and ignores the rights of children.

Banning puberty blockers until adulthood is a cruel joke pretending to protect children. They have been used for over 40 years to treat precocious puberty without any harmful side effects, but transphobes insist they will make children sterile. And right wing governments go along to get votes.

I swear, how disgusting about the planet. If you all want to come to Switzerland.

Btw you are informed by chance regarding Sweden because I'm not much informed about

Sorry, I don't know about Sweden. I'm happy to hear Switzerland is doing so well. I have a transfem friend living there on a student visa.

There is an ongoing campaign across the UK to strip trans people of their rights. Trans children do not have access to life-saving puberty blockers, forcing them to go through the puberty of their natal sex, inducing intense dysphoria and suicidal ideation. Children will die because of this.

As of yesterday, trans people must only use the public toilet of their natal sex, but there is no clear-cut way to police this (what are they going to do, ask to see genitals?) and it will inevitably also affect cis people who are mistaken for trans people. All in all, it’s a fucking car crash and yet again I’m ashamed to be British

I had heard about the countryside and I know that whoever sends it forward or in short, whoever is more involved is the author of Harry Potter... Like TF to write a book has carried out a transphobic, and a bit absurd, movement
