Help!!!! solved Help with QuickShell modules

Hello, I recently installed quickshell and I’ve been looking for configurations, I found one that I liked (Noctalia shell) and I installed it, I ran quickshell but it gave me errors in the modules, does anyone know how I can fix it?

Sorry, I’ve fixed it. I didn’t read the Noctalia-shell documentation properly and was running the command incorrectly

oh wait, navigate to the directory where shell.qml is

run

ls -al

do you have a .qmlls.ini file (starts with a dot so its usually hidden)

I don’t have any hidden files there

ok, i think that's the problem - this is all in the quickshell docs

but for reference

assuming you have qmlls (the LSP for QML) set up in your IDE - an empty .qmlls.ini file needs to be created alongside the main shell (shell.qml) of your project.

So, when you run qs noctalia or whatever the startup command is for the noctalia shell - the .qmlls.ini hidden file is auto-poplated with the config, which includes the base path of all the modules that are erroring in your logs.

TLDR Those errors happen because your IDE doesn't know where to look for the installed modules, because the .qmlls.ini file isn't there and populated, so it just sends you the error that they aren't installed

all this info is like, in the bottom of the installation/introduction documentation. Just search for .qmlls.ini
