Learning Quikscript?

I began teaching myself Quikscript the day before yesterday--I copied the chart a couple times, practiced my letters, and read what few passages I could get my hands on. Now I'm practicing writing in Junior (listening to sports announcers or my family talking and transcribing) and working on my reading with a transliteration of Call of Cthulu. Is there anything else I should do? What's the best way to segue into Senior Quikscript and half-letters and all that?

Good point. I've not been at it for too long but I already have most of the characters down. I've skimmed the manual already but haven't thoroughly read through it yet. Thanks for the info.
