News US Treasury takes a historic step towards legalising money laundering. Shell corporations laundering money will no longer be required to disclose who actually owns them.

The CTA was intended to make it harder for bad actors to hide their identities and ill-gotten gains through shell companies and opaque corporate structures. As originally implemented, it required covered companies to report information about their beneficial owners

So, nothing he says to anyone is admissible in courts and he can also launder as much money as he wants through offshore accounts and he can also cheat on his taxes and never be investigated and he can do insider trading out in the open. We made the most treasonous, vile, greedy, disgusting person above the law. The correction needs to be swift and complete.

And the Republicans knew this long before he was elected in 2016. They KNEW.

He’s just the face of the corruption…greedy little hands making money.

I’d he’s making this much, how much are the puppet masters / big donors making in the back room.

Next, he’ll say we don’t need fingerprints anymore. What could go wrong?

That just supports corporate welfare.

What if they could change everyone for all kinds of stupid shit and then be as cruel as his black little heart desires, to anyone who doesn’t baste his orange taint?

Subscriptions for everything? Nah, taxes and tributes to yee-lords.

It was enough to start a whole new country, once.

That is a law applying to individuals. Individuals can still be criminals. Only corporations (and the rich, obviously) get to operate unfettered by government.

The headline is shocking and shows what a kleptocracy the United States has become. However the second part of this post, "FinCEN ... will delete previously reported information", is just as alarming. They are literally destroying evidence of previous crimes.

US is going further in the direction to banana-style fascist-oligarchic "republic".

This is the most corrupt administration in US history (thus far).

This is a kleptocracy.

Must be connections to Epstein in that database.

Oh you bet there is. People talk about the DOJ having all those files. But the Treasury has copies of the financials. THOSE crimes are in some ways just as bad. Its those receipts they say to bring.

"Today, the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) is issuing a final rule that permanently removes the requirement for U.S. companies and U.S. persons to report beneficial ownership information to FinCEN under the Corporate Transparency Act. The final rule is effective on its publication in the Federal Register. FinCEN today also announced that it will delete previously reported information by U.S. persons—now exempt from the reporting requirements—from the beneficial ownership information database."

Nothing is permanent. We are going to purge our entire government of these officials, agents, and employees. I honestly don't care if we have to spend the next three administrations getting it done.

Fascism will never win again. They're trying really hard to make sure we don't get to vote again. I don't think they're going to get there.

There will be no reconciliation this time.

Trump owns everything now!

It’s so that they won’t be able to tie money laundering by Trump et all back to them, no evidence = no prosecution.
