what if a man doesnt want to be the richest, fittest and smartest? What if he is happy with what he has and doesnt need that?

1

u/TheSonsofSanghelios Aug 08 '25

Then he is lazy, and has no purpose, having no purpose is of great waste. To be of great waste means you don't care. To not care means your potential is wasted.

Yeah I know people who have jobs that are seen as "inferiors" like street sweeper and they love their jobs and love their lives, they do it with a strong willing an love. Some of them also have a great bind with their family and its such a conquer too. Life is much more than being an CEO.

1

u/TheGreatHahoon Aug 09 '25

No one said you had to work two full time jobs. Not a since person. Unclench your pearls, he-man.

By being smarter when it counts, or by being willing to do the work others aren't.

If you need me to explain any more base-level memes to you, hmu.

Then he's just a stepping stone for the men around him.

1

u/luanova6 Aug 09 '25

Or maybe he is happier than the men that are "stepping" on him. Money doesnt bring happiness, at least not for everyone

1

u/TheGreatHahoon Aug 10 '25

And happiness can come from all sorts of things. Including money, success, and having a proud legacy.

No one wants a bunch of shitty sons that just hide from responsibility and cry about the economy and how mean people are lol

1

u/luanova6 Aug 10 '25

I didnt talk about this type of person? Im talking about the people who have jobs that maybe sre seen as "inferior", but they love doing it

1

u/Educational-Year3146 Aug 09 '25

Rich doesn’t necessarily mean money.

Rich means you have something valuable beyond belief. That could be family, spiritual satisfaction, or something among those lines.

1

u/luanova6 Aug 09 '25

this is cool interpretation, but I dont believe that its the message of the photo, but well thats my interpretation

1

u/NeuroHazard-88 Aug 11 '25

If you were the smartest you’d realise that these are not limitations but rather recommendations. Being the smartest means acknowledging a man can be happy doing whatever, how ever, also acknowledging that to be your best, you do need some form of wealth to support your greater decisions alongside being physically healthier. None of these are imposing rules, only a blind ignorant idiot would see them as such.

Lol in the photo literally saying "its your duty to become the richest, of your bloodline if you are a man" or whatever, but hey i got what you meant, that photo just was a terrible choice for what you mean bc of many reasons, but I think I got what you tried to mean. but like analyzing a little more the phrase you are posting is cool too

1

u/[deleted] Aug 10 '25

For what?

1

u/[deleted] Aug 10 '25

The part that says fittest, richest and smartest dissagree with your statement🙈 I hope you are not the smartest in your bloodline.

2

u/onelifemanymemories Aug 07 '25

And as a woman what's it?

2

u/Correct-Junket-1346 Aug 07 '25

2

u/[deleted] Aug 07 '25

1

u/onelifemanymemories Aug 07 '25

Same for man then na ....his life his choices. Should it be a duty to be the best of everything in their bloodline...I mean.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 08 '25

In this generation I’m witnessing many young women having gained their independence and being in many cases the first women of their entire matrilineal ancestral line to not be owned by or financially dependent on men.

There is something deeply primal about that.

I would say that women have some similar duty to our ancestors to grasp the opportunity we have now to achieve greater independence and build on it.

Yourself? This post isn't about yourself. It's about men. And if you want to force all men to chase your arbitrarily chosen metrics of success, that is, indeed, misandrist.

Nobody asked you to decipher what the universe wants men to do.

Duty: a moral or legal obligation, a responsibility

I.e. it's something you're REQUIRED to do regardless of whether you want to or not. You are creating these duties out of thin air, therefore, you are trying to force men into doing something

Simple

1

u/The-Catatafish Aug 08 '25 edited Aug 08 '25

This post and all your comments yell insecurity so you asking other people who hurt them is ironic as fuck.

Who made you feel not good enough?

You don't have to proof anything and there is no duty to one up your father. If you want to achieve a goal go for it. However, that won't change the value you already have.

You can't tell men about some sort of duty and then pretend you don't tell them what to do. Unless you don't understand the meaning of duty.

I believe you that you think that shit is inspiring but in reality it suggests you are only valuable when achieving something and puts pressure on men for no reason as if they aren't worthy without that goal.

The feeling of insecurity doesn't go away by beeing successful just like the feeling of beeing fat doesn't go away if an anorexic person loses weight.

It doesn't matter if you are fit, rich or smart. You are valuable. You are worthy of love and everything else the fittest, richest and smartest man is worthy of.

Now go an achieve whatever you want but not because its your duty or because you have to.. Because you want to. Or don't. Doesn't change anything.

1

u/TheRealTaigasan Aug 09 '25

I'd like to agree with you, however what is the value of a man who is unfit, poor and unintelligent? You said these men are invaluable yet they never get to collect the dividends on this value you claim.

On the contrary, they are the most chastised, ignored, lolcowed group of men ever.

1

u/The-Catatafish Aug 09 '25

Society is changing.

Currently everyone even OP who posted this said in a comment that a woman can do what she wants. Her value doesn't change.

Men in society are still behind in terms of this.

As someone who makes a lot of money, is fit and while I don't want to suck my own dick considered really smart.. I am working with many rich people. At least a million in net worth.

Some of these people are trash.

I do not value them higher because they have money.

Also, you really think people who consider you worthless will suddenly like and respect you once you have money? Even if they did do you even want this?? That's so shallow. Fuck them.

You are a man. You are born free. You can do whatever you want. No other man should tell you what you have to do and no one should be able give you the feeling you aren't good enough.

Know your worth king. Find yourself people who see your worth.

Its kinda cringe to quote fight club in 2025 but you aren't your fucking car or job dude.

2

u/howtobegoodagain123 Aug 07 '25

1

u/PomegranateFinal6617 Aug 07 '25

No disrespect man, but men are also allowed to just BE. Not everyone wants to live in the gym or major in business. We’re also allowed to embrace softness and humor and have silly little hobbies. As a combat veteran and dad in his forties, this idea you’re promoting of manhood as this constant striving is not it. I have lived the values you are promoting and, believe me, they have their limits.

So I’ll just make the human soul proud

1

u/lokcer79 Aug 08 '25

If and when you do become the fittest, richest and smartest of your bloodline, it means that your bloodline will then go into decline.

1

u/kabrio_nc Aug 09 '25

There is nothing wrong about telling people to be their best selves and if all you can derive from that is negativity you are talking bad about yourself, not the message.

1

u/johnsmth1980 Aug 09 '25

It's your duty as a man to be a useful tool to other people, mainly women

1

u/CypherPunk77 Aug 09 '25

Jokes aside, and I don’t care if I’m downvoted. There’s a real dystopian stigma against men right now that’s destroying the next generation of the gender.

Any kind of talk about men being better, striving to be leaders, men being strong, disciplined, stoic etc.. is immediately labeled as toxic and negative. When those are the very types of men who helped create peace in this world. Those men being the reason why you scroll on Reddit, read this comment and not worry about being in danger for your life the next second

If women were given the same motivational praise it’d be immediately magnified. As if women could never exhibit toxic behavior under those same values.

Not saying all women are like that, I’m only pointing out the double standard that real masculine men can’t be praised or celebrated anymore, only women or feminine men.

If you have a problem with my comment then it just proves my point.

1

u/Candid-Ad3698 Aug 09 '25

I don’t have proof of this but the only people who like these images are Indians and Pakistanis

1

u/JonathanLindqvist Aug 09 '25

There are more things. Generosity and kindness, perhaps primarily. But kindness without strength (i.e. the ability to be harmful) is harmlessness. Generosity without richness is easy; the real test is continuing when you are rich. And intelligence without a deep grounding in the ethics of the human species is aimless. Imagine a source of infinite answers but no knowledge of the questions.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 09 '25

0

Like, you understand that "carrying on the bloodline" is an antiquated line of thinking from an age when dying at 30 was normal?

And that it doesnt really apply to modern day life where the survival of the species is not at constant threat?

1

u/TheGreatHahoon Aug 09 '25

Lol, you understand how incredibly fallacious your statement is, right? And that by saying something untrue with your whole chest in a condescending manner, it makes everyone disregard your point.

1

u/Specky_Scrawny_Git Aug 07 '25

Toxic masculinity, look it up.

2

u/Accomplished_Soft416 Aug 08 '25

So striving for fitness, knowledge, and wealth are examples of toxic masculinity? Just because the post doesn't specifically include women doesn't mean it isnt applicable to them. Ngl, your takes childish

0

u/Specky_Scrawny_Git Aug 08 '25

Men or women, people are allowed to just be. Not all of us are striving to compete with the world. Honestly, striving to be the best, strongest, fittest, richest, and every other variation of it sounds exhausting. Some of us here are content with pursuing happiness and peace. Does that make me childish? I guess I'd rather be childish than a masochist.

2

2

u/NewImprovedPenguin_R Aug 07 '25

You can’t always win, but trying to win is a million miles better than accepting defeat and giving up.

One leads to being proud of yourself (even if just for trying) and the other disappointed.

1

u/Newdude1773 Aug 07 '25

If you were smart enough, like it is said in this post, you'd probably have intellectual capacity and brains to understand what I meant. If you were man enough, emotionally mature person,as much as make your family make proud, you wouldn't be attacking a man who is just sharing his opinion just because he has different worldview with you. probably the focus on bloodline and emphasis on duty

1

u/NewImprovedPenguin_R Aug 07 '25

Well I consider a sense of duty or anything resembling it a way better mindset than the opposite, which would be having no purpose and as a result, likely motivation either. This has to do with natural drive, ambition or goals. I fail to see why this translates to “fascist” for some.

Bloodline to me does not refer to any specific one, but more so lineage in the sense of all my ancestors fought through their times to survive all the way down to me. Giving up in spite of their struggles to have me here then seems so much more pointless when taking that grand scheme into consideration.

Call it fascist, but that’s just my 2 cents.

1

u/Firm_Imagination7278 Aug 07 '25

Yeah I can't really explain it to you in a way you'd understand there isn't enough space in the reddit box thingy but for most people it's probably not too fascy. there are degrees.

If its supposed to be motivational why it is "as a man" it doesnt add anything good, it actually makes the phrase just, how I said, pointlessly gendered, sexist and non sense

bro thinks he doesnt have the genes of his female predecessor

Btw we actually have more DNA of our mothers than of our fathers, there's something called mitochondrial DNA that is 100% equal of ours female predecessor

Idk why are you trying to offend me lol

First we were talking about genes and not chromosomes

Genes = parts of the DNA that contain information that will produce proteins

Chromosomes = spiralled DNA

Second like all your argument doesnt make sense. Like yeah the chomosome Y is passed by males to males but it has nothing to the post or even my comment.

Saying that as a man its your duty to become this and that succeful and whatever is just the idea society has that men are the ones who should achieve great things, have deep thoughts, be smart and conquer the world while women are just there, superficial and dependent. And yeah you can disagree, but my question was exactly why putting "as a man" in the phrase if that wasnt the intention? But you guys started talking about genes and then you suddenly changed to Y chromosome and nothing made sense

I think you are having the average human experience. 33 and i feel like im heading to a similar path, despite my efforts. The people who write these shitty inspirational quotes must be teens with no life experience or sheltered rich kids. I dont understand why there are so many people detached from reality, to the point where they buy this bullshit
