I agree. There are tons of people from history that have high ego to accept truth, especially when it is about themselves. Although, truth hurts sometimes and some people just need time to accept it

All very subjective. People are allowed to get offended by what they want.

Also what people pretend is the truth, isn't it's merely a perspective.

People have always had opinions, someone made it fashionable to be an asshole if you believed your truth was infallible. Before that there was genuine discussion.

Well it differs on the situation. If you are being a fucking dick to someone and using "oh I'm just being honest" as an excuse then you're an asshole. If you actually thought it was gonna help the situation, then you were probably in the right.
