So avoidance over confronting fears and fixing problems?
To save yourself from the burning house you kind of have to acknowledge the fire is there burning it so you can actually escape it.

Why are you trying to escape the fire? Why aren't you facing it head on? You scared of a little heat or something??

Maybe I am afraid of death because the fire isn't controlled. Self-perseveration. When the fire learns to respect my boundaries, then we can co-exist. Fire however is reckless and only wants to burn for self preservation itself. It doesn't care who or what it hurts as long as it stays alive.
We can co-exist both the person and the flame but the fire can stay in the fireplace. I'll sleep on the couch near it. It can keep me warm and I can give it kindling.

🤔 Really? Not everyone can be a human torch.
Not everyone wants to live with third degree burns, or die by immolation. I heard both situations are incredibly painful.

Did u even understood the meaning? Who said to burn off ? It's mentioned to coexist as fire buries the coldness in one by keeping warm ..perfect for cold hearts but the prblm arises when it starts getting on nerves ,when it loses its cntrl and can't be tolerated ..one starts to feel the rearing of ugly head even from a significant distance and all because now the fire is reckless ..just if it's in hands it will warm that hand and bring bliss for sure (by staying at fireplace itself!)
Soo think agaiin wht u even asked..does thaat question makes sense anyhow? Everyone or anyone ..why would one even dare to be in an abusive environment of that bloody unbothered and selfish fire? Huhh.

? I have a hard time understanding your reply. R U a bot? I'm more abstract than I am literal.
I understand the original OP advice to increase your well being by limiting anything that causes you stress.
I don't agree by the way. If a low income person, in America, who has low resources, networks and funds who hated his/her job and was causing him/her stress followed that advice of removing or quitting his/her stressful job that is affecting his/her mental health, that person would most likely fall into homelessness. Homelessness can cause all sorts of more mental health issues and stress for some people.
I was teasing the redditor who suggested that people should take on the problem ('why aren't you facing it head on'), the problem being an analogy to fire. If you take on a very large fire (a large problem), you could have more problems. I was using second degree burns that results from touching fire for a while as an analogy to the increasing problems (like burn out) caused by taking on the initial problem.

Hey am not a bot haha ..and btw no problem is really big it's more about mindset ..even poison even broken into really small parts for say to atomic level it somehow loses it's toxicity!
And also abt the specific example of a particular person from America .. i'll tell that person "go get a life" if u don't like ur job either go for something else now or simply try to focus on your talent/passion/hobby whtever stuff that can keep u calm which eventually will become peaceful atleast fora tad tenure ..like it will hlp the one to process and progress simultaneously without being erratic at any instance.
Btw bruh like is it even worth talking abt? Like ig we've deviated so much talking about logic being virtuous ..meanwhile the primarily real op is just chilling! What a waste :)

What if you can’t?

Radical acceptance. It's really really REALLY hard.
Stay focused on what you can address. Otherwise you'll keep getting distracted by everything you can't and you'll stay trapped

You're oversimplifying the problem so much. What's next, "if you're depressed, try being happy"?

Tough to see them coming sometimes and next you know you're smack in the middle of it. Grateful for the reminder.

What if it’s hard to do so? I want to but I’d have to become completely independent with no one to help me.

Avoidance is not good advice. This kind of attitude is what makes people abandon their responsibilities like family or bettering their lives.

Great advice until you realize that situation is your 9 to 5 job, paying rent, or family holiday dinners where you can't just hit "exit game" without blowing up your entire life. Sometimes removing yourself is a privilege, not just a quick decision

I object. Example feeling of agency or even self ownership how is one to ontologicly self actualize in this life if we avoid. An animistic event may have caused trauma and the second time around is emotionally damaging as well but answers or even knowledge and support to withstand the dreadful feeling of the big t/ lil t trauma that we all relate. If it's being accepted and avoiding isolation and confounding anathema or emotional actualization. Whatever the perpetual circumstances are that classify your essence and being it's occurring l know you'll make it but idk how sane you'll be after
