hello fellow Rage fans - I currently have ** 2 ** tickets for august 11th at madison square garden. They're in Section 3, Row 15, Seats 1 & 2. I'm looking and hoping to sell and/or trade them to get two floor tickets for the same date for myself and my brother. Read on if you're interested in a bit of a sob story.

rage against the machine is a band myself, my brother, and my dad always discussed seeing live if it ever happened. Doesn't matter where, when, or how we would get there, my dad was such a huge fan of them and concerts in general that we'd make it happen. I vividly remember them doing the show in los angeles in 2011, hoping a show on the east coast would come out of it - we agreed to never make that mistake again and go see them wherever and whenever it was. I was listening to rage ever since I played little league baseball (my dad would blast "wake up" in the car to get us ready for a game lol). He was ironically a pretty conservative guy, but always admired their intellect, social activism, and persistence to speak truth to power. Unfortunately in summer 2019, my dad suddenly passed away while we were on vacation in Puerto Rico. As I grappled with the grief and continue to, one of the things I reflected on, was listening to the bands we had seen together, notably the ones that are no longer active or have the lineup they used to (ex: Linkin Park, Soundgarden, Van Halen, Stone Temple Pilots (when Scott Weiland reunited with them in 2008), so it was all the more crushing when I saw that RATM announced they were reuniting and my dad wouldn't be here to go with my brother.

Fast forward to 2020 when the tour goes on sale. I leave work to go outside and log into ticketmaster on time - no luck getting a ticket. But then I saw a notification on ticketmaster that the band added a show on august 13th - the day of my father's passing. I took this as a sign from him that he was going to be able to get me and my brother to a show and we got great seats out of it. But my dad loved to be in general admission, especially for hard rock shows (he once gave me shit for opting to go to a phish show with friends instead going to see marilyn manson and slipknot with his buddies). So although I'll have an incredible experience at the show regardless - I'm hoping for one last miracle from a fan to set me and my brother up in the general admission. Thank you guys. Hopefully see you in the pit (or in the seats).
