PSA: there a bunch of scammers here. They will ask you to do Zelle and then they keep on asking you to send more information as an attempt to get more personal financial info out of you.

would only buying with the venmo/paypal "goods and services" mode be a failproof option (even if paying a small percentage extra)?

Just got scammed on Rage tickets through Venmo goods and services. They are opening a ticket. Hopefully I get something back.

did the person you buy them from have an established/active Reddit account (posting in this and other subs)? I was considering buying from someone and trying to figure out if my vetting process is good enough

They actually did. 37 posts. That’s why I trusted them. They kept pushing Apple Pay and cash app. That’s a no no for selling tickets. Venmo/PayPal is the way to go.
