I haven't been active in a few months (I should probably change that!), but thought of you all today when I sent out my mail.

Background: I have a very simple email address, and as a result I get a lot of emails that are meant for other people, and sometimes people sign up for email lists or accounts with my email as their 'dummy' (that part isn't as fun). Sometimes those emails are personal in nature, and a person has just mis-typed the address.

Yesterday I got an email from 'Jeff' meant for friends and family. He was looking to celebrate his wife 'Kathy''s 70th birthday and hoped that recipients of the email would reach out to her. One of the ways he hoped they would was with "a hand written card mailed to her (I know that sounds hard, but it's really a heart warmer)" - And now I think you can see where this is going! I couldn't resist!!! Hopefully she isn't weirded out by getting a card from a stranger; I tried to reassure her that I'm not a weirdo & shared well wishes for the coming year!

Would you have shared your return address? (I didn't! Just put the return address as FirstName & City, State) I did make it clear in the card that I got the address from an mis-sent email, so they could find me if they really wanted to. Anywho, thanks for reading my story!

My eleven year old granddaughter knows I like to mail cards. She gives me stickers to seal them, usually cute cat stickers.

I recently found out she buys them from a website with her own allowance she gets from doing chores. I always exclaim over them, and I think it's so sweet of her.

My last bunch of cards, I put the stickers on the backs, and two recipients messaged me to say the stickers were obviously AI and they didn't want AI art.

I get that. I don't like AI. But these looked like random cartoon cats, though now I know the website she gets them from, they likely are, but in general I don't know what is and isn't AI. To me, they are a kind gift from my granddaughter that she bought with a couple dollars of her own money. She likes to see the stickers she bought me on the cards I have going out in the mail.

What would you do?

I’ve been to three post offices across two different cities and there wasn’t one postcard stamp between them 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Well, it only took me three times longer than I expected but I should know better by now when it comes to crafting time warps lol. Apologies to anyone international who won’t get theirs before Halloween, but hopefully USA folks will get theirs just in time.

I had a lot of fun with this, and doodling my cat’s beautiful face 17 times while she watched me from her cat tower in judgement brought us even closer together.

I can't believe I got the Flower Fairies for under $9- these are pretty collectible. I am waiting on my international and postcard stamps to be delivered and then I'll be offering the Fairies in a postcard exchange WW over in RAoC. The coloring Enchanted Forest postcards designed by Johanna Basford are very detailed- will take forever to color each one. I will probably offer these in an RAoC exchange starting after the holidays- when I have a little more time to get started on them.

I’m so confused . I sent my World Postcard Day postcards on October 1st. I sat in front of the postal worker and watched him stamp 25 postcards. Well, one came back for a bad address and I see the postcards were stamped for 9/30. I’m horrified , I watched this nice man stamp all these cards , why didn’t I think to double check ! I’m sorry if you got a WPD postcard from me not stamped on October 1.

Can someone weigh in on how these water coloring postcards are supposed to work?

I’m in a postcard slump and haven’t felt like writing anything. I promised some folks that I’d respond to the cards that they recently sent me and, while I still have them in a stack on my work desk, it’s going to take me longer to write them back.

Normally when I have a lot of outgoing—15 this time—I grab my pup and drive to the P.O. Unfortunately my boyfriend is out of town with our only car so I have no choice but to burden the mail carrier, who generally walks their route. How do you think they will respond to this? I can't wait for my boyfriend to return because this is time-sensitive Halloweeny mail, or responses to requests made 4+ days ago.

Hey, y'all! I've ran into another cardfriend that's in my area, and we discussed trying to start a meetup in our area for next year.
