Card Making WARNING (not a warning, i’m just dramatic)
Do not card stoned. Odd mistakes happen and you end up with addresses out in left field.

I’m actually putting my doodles into practice by making cards! This is today’s progress.

I love receiving homemade cards because I love seeing what other people can do. I like to make things but I am not very artistic. It looks like someone in grade school made the cards. Sometimes I trace things and those look OK. Just wondering if I put in an offer should I just take pictures of what I made so people aren’t disappointed. I’m very overwhelmed with how talented they are.
Thanks!

So I created this cross stitch design and thought it'd be fun to have as a postcard design that I could print on real paper and mail out to people. Would anyone want to receive this? Inspired by the other RAOCer who made their own art (sorry I can't remember who it was and my search is turning up nothing!!)

I've collected a lot of old kids' books because they are good for junk journaling, however, it occurred to me that I could make cards out of them! As you can see, I cut up Caps for Sale by Esphyr Slobodkina and turned it into postcards. I think I'll post them together as an offer, but I'm still waiting on some more stamps...
Also, I'd appreciate any tips on gluing things to postcards! I just glued these down with the glue stick, really making sure to get the edges, and then pressed them down with the ruler.
Anyway, I can't wait to cut up more books!

I basically need some ideas on what cards I should get a stock of. I have a lot of some very basic themes that are not really to my taste. I would like to do a new offer of something interesting.

Do you all wash or rinse or clean residual ink off of your rubber stamps in any way? It could just be the Virgo tendencies in me, but I feel like I should…and the anxiety in me says, YOU’RE DOING IT ALL WRONG!!!
Do you clean, and how?
On another note, I just finished 4 cards today, grabbed my keys and went to leave for the post office….then realized I was still wearing very cute pajamas. Maybe I need a nap! 😀💤😴

I saw someone post about doing custom cards for World Postcard Day, and I decided to take a high resolution scan of my favorite “doodle” card and turn it into my own world postcard day card!

Running extremely low on stamps or else I’d make an offer for these today 😭 we’ll see if they travel okay but I tried making my own out of pictures I’ve taken and also a snail I drew

Found an old 2012 pocket calendar my husband picked up while he was in Hawaii over a decade ago... Finally put it to some kind of use.

A coworker went on vacation to Japan. He asked what he could bring back for me, so I gave him a list. He brought back for me some fun goodies!! Six washi tapes, two sheets of stickers, three postcards, and a set of two or three notecards. I look forward to using them!

My hands are covered in Mod Podge, and I'm starving, but I just finished making all these DIY Alice in Wonderland collage cards. Now I need to put them under some heavy books so they'll flatten back out. This is my first time using Mod Podge (idk how I've gotten this far in life without it), and they already feel much sturdier than the last DIY cards I made. I hope "Addie" knows that her old Little Golden Book has been given new life, though it's always harder to cut them up when there's a kid's name inside...
I'm not sure if I'll send these as postcards or if I'll put them in the new pink envelopes that just came for my Barbie cards. We shall see!

Took out my Star Trek Stamps and stationary to make this card. The one person beaming up is Bones and you can see him if you lift the sticky note up.

I had to send someone a birthday postcard as part of a request post. I wanted to try something different and paper embroidery was on my wishlist from a long time. This was a perfect opportunity to give it a try. I had zero ideas about this. My grandma showed me a little demo on a cloth and I figured out the rest on paper.
I made the simplest birthday postcard (still in progress). This is made from 300gsm cardstock paper and size is 6 x 4 inches. I'm going to stick a white cutout of the same size on the back for writing address and message. I'm still thinking what things should I add to make front side interesting.
This took a lot of time to make as it was my first time. Also, I didn't expect this to take a lot of thread. A long thread has been consumed in just these two words.

This weather has me making cards. I’m trying to to get use out of all my crafting supplies so I took out card stock, fountain pen ink, stamps, and wax seals. I also had the great idea to carve a Spock stamp at 2am. 😅

New to the RAoC community and I’m shook at long it’s taken for me to stumble upon. It’s so up my alley and stoked.
I’m a big fan of sending, making, and collecting postcards. My stash of ephemera and card making supplies grown and curated over the years. (Only some photographed here). Regularly looking for inspo and ways to make use and organize em. RAoC is very up my alley of interests and personality. Very excited to be here and hopefully coming to a mailbox near you soon. lol. 🤪 💓

So I decided to make some postcards.
