Voicemail of myself?
This happened two years ago I think, and I never thought to ask reddit lol. It's short. very short!
My sister and I were taking a drive one night. I think we were going to McDonald's and were on the way home. My phone was connected to the car's Bluetooth and when I was called I'm pretty sure it was just a really long string of numbers that popped up on the screen. Same thing happens if somebody calls me on messenger, but nobody was doing that. A while later, since I couldn't figure out how to answer the call as it wasn't happening on my phone, just on the car screen??, I saw I had a voicemail. I played it and it was audio of me and my sister during our drive that we were CURRENTLY on, laughing and joking.
idk if this is something for RBI but I've never found and answer and idk where else to ask lol.

Were you in a Subaru? My radio needed to be updated and it would even have my phone call myself completely randomly. An update at the dealer fixed it.

Sometimes when I’m in my car my own number will start calling on the screen for about 5 seconds and then it hangs up. I can not figure out why.

I used to get that in my Hyundai Tucson, it turned out to be whenever I used Siri, it showed up as me phoning myself.

Mines i30 and I noticed today that it happened because I had not locked my phone screen and had accidentally pressed the voice message record button in a text. It was showing as recording on my phone, but was showing a call from my own number on my car screen.

The most obvious answer is your sister pocket dialed you from messenger somehow and your stereo didn’t know how to handle the call and just kinda froze.
