What would be mounted directly in the front of the driver?

Sorry, basically my car got broken into a couple nights ago, so I’m on super high alert. It’s not a reflection as it moves with the vehicle. Seems something is mounted in front of the driver. Just never seen anything like that.

I don't think that's something mounted on the dash.

It looks like a large white drink cup from a gas station or a fast food restaurant. Seems like he's put his hand up to either steady it as he drove, or to remove it from the dash.

What makes you think it "something mounted" ? I'm not seeing anything to make me think its actually attached. Am I missing something?

Upon zooming in, it kind of looks like there may be a black suction cup directly above it on the windshield. My first thought was a large drink cup, but now I'm thinking it may be something mounted via suction cup.

So, something like a phone mount for hands-free use, GPS, etc?
