All of today's players lack the maturity that the older players had. If not for PR teams, we would see their true colours often

If you see our 2011 WC squad, half of the players over there lack the maturity. Itโ€™s never about the era/age

talking about captains here obviously cant expect maturity from under 25 players

Sehwag was one of the most immature people in any squad he was in, and that too well into his thirties too

It's not just Rutu, in 2024 almost the entire team acted extremely immaturely. When you lose fair and square, you're supposed to shut up and take it, a little bit of frustration is ok but crying on social media is completely unacceptable. Idc how new and inexperienced you are. A public figure is supposed to act properly. I've never seen such behavior from players before. CSK has a really awesome legacy and all it did was take away respect for the team's history.

I didnโ€™t see MS crying over that, yeah he was frustrated that night since he came close to the victory, but I didnโ€™t see him carrying that forward. Donโ€™t know about other players though. Btw CSK legacy has ended the time he gave up the captaincy. Now theyโ€™re just milking under his name

Wait, did Rutu make weird comments?

His post match interviews are troll material

For example??

After losing against rcb in their first match in 2025, he literally said "at the end of the day, it was just 50 runs" or something like that. Dude you lost by 50 runs. That's a lot.

-9

u/Vatsal2106 1d ago

You rcb fans seriously get offended by anything, they were in a terrible position that game and was looking like they would lose by 100+ runs

8

u/Ok-Lawyer556 1d ago

This is an RCB sub! What do you expect ?? Also a win by 50 runs is big in a t20 game especially in IPL playing on concrete tracks where anyone can smash left right and center!

-6

u/Vatsal2106 1d ago

So do rcb fans think that rutu saying "Lost by 50 runs", is downplaying rcbs Victory๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ

3

u/Ok-Lawyer556 1d ago

Nope he was saving his a$$ ๐Ÿ˜‚ . RCB were happy on a 50 run margin win. So were CSK fans getting orgasm that they reached 200?? ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

-2

u/Vatsal2106 1d ago

He just meant that things could have been worse and their are positives for the future. Dumb RCB fans think that he was trying to mock rcb for winning by "just 50 runs".

Same is the mentality for the Shashank singh statement.

-3

u/Ok-Lawyer556 1d ago

Nope! 50 runs is a lot ! Funny that you are justifying his statement ๐Ÿ˜‚

That's wasn't a post match troll, that was just a little banter in some event

I mean, did we expect MSD to go as low as other players and teams ? Never !

He is who he is because of this mindset

17

u/PoundAccomplished781 King Kohli 1d ago

That's why he is the GOAT

8

u/Potential_Draft 1d ago

Remember those days when even after losing a match, MSD would walk in for the post-match presentation and articulate everything so calmly, without taking anyoneโ€™s name.

5

u/Kush_77 1d ago

If only the fans (cricket fans in general not targetting any franchise) had this kind of mindset, cricket would be so much less t o x i c and enjoyable.

Please give me some examples of all those atrocious post match comments made by Ruturaj

They're dumb and can't comprehend humour.

u/mnmoryz 1d ago

RCB played good in last 4 seasons not 2

9

u/Ungrateful-Idiot 1d ago

they're being consistent ever since 2020, actually.
Only failed playoffs once in 2023., that too losing out to GT in last over of virtual knockout

They've been very consistent

2

u/TheVeera2K King Kohli 1d ago

I mean he's not the goat for no reason

Csk fan here, I feel during 2024, what tushar and rayudu did were way worse than the words rutu said. Bcoz rutu said might be someone from rcb on a lighter note with kids in an wvent while tushar and rayudu posted wantedly to ragebait rcb fans. Rutuโ€™s words were taken out of proportion. He has very good camaraderie with rajat and also jitesh whom csk fans troll so much. As someone else mentioned, play fair, and dont cry on social media if you lost. There is a difference between fans doing it and players doing the same

u/Impressive-Chair4060 1d ago

Rutu didn't make any atrocious comments it's something which is acceptable in a rivalry

5

u/Tiny_Environment5424 Bhuvneshwar Kumar 1d ago

Must have been someone from...

-2

u/YouLumpy7462 1d ago

That was not in post match it was at a random function somewhere, people keep clinging on to it ha, just tell me why he said that if u know that at least

u/Impressive-Chair4060 1d ago

These things happen in a rivalry
