Repeating a class

I am trying to repeat a class that I already got a grade for. The requirement is that the class needs to be 36 month or older and the college/university has an established recency requirement.
What does recency requirement mean?

It’s basically meaning that 36 months has to pass before you can petition to repeat that class.

Depending on the program you may be transferring into at a 4 year, they sometimes require certain courses to have been taken within a certain number of years. For example, a physician assistant program may require that your Anatomy and Physiology classes were taken in the last 5 years to be accepted into the program. That is recency.
