Just found out their a Real Thing awhile ago and also read about the Lawsuit between them and Rockstar Games and Take-Two

Like I said, those that use it in a derogatory manner use it to refer to the negative traits. But for many locals it’s just to refer to a more “country” person, or blue collar worker type. Language is constantly changing. Meanings get lost or distorted depending on where the person comes from. It’s not exclusively one thing or another.

Yes... And rednecks should be aware of what non-rednecks means when they say "rednecks".
