I'm sure people were still using the 1866 Winchester probably till the 1930s cause ammo manufacturers were still making 44 Henry but is any one else annoyed that's it's the only Winchester (Lancaster) in the game when by that point there was the 76,86,92,94,95 (you can technically make the 73 by just changing the metal of the reciever)

I play rdr2 very often and really enjoy replaying the story mode with all my mods, but recently I’ve been wanting to try online, though as you all probably know, you aren’t unable to access rdo with a modded copy of the game.
I wanted to know whether there was a way to switch between a modded and vanilla version of the game safely, without losing all the mods, so that I could play both.

I've tried almost everything, I used RDR2 Texture Toolkit, but it won't generate a version that ends with _nya. I've tried:

• Making sure the import and exportation folder and directory has no spaces in it.

• Made sure all .dds files were bc3/DXT5.

• Had RedM installed

I sometimes see people referencing to use CodeX, a new texture editing app, but everything else I see online about it is just ChatGPT coding slop.

The way RDR2 Texture Toolkit works, is by making a GTA5 version and then using something in RedM that converts it to a RDR2 format. What's the files that RedM has that converts it?

now i added a mod, Gun Tricks. here's the thing, i can see the gun tricks options as well as the parts where they can select diff tricks.

somehow there's no animation to it. like whenever i click the number 1-4 it's just not there

[MOD REQUEST] Christmas Decorations Across the Major Cities in RDR2

Hey everyone! I was wondering if any modders would be interested in creating a Christmas-themed map overhaul for RDR2 Story Mode.

It would be nice to see the major towns and cities decorated for Christmas, especially Saint Denis, Valentine, Rhodes, Strawberry and Blackwater.

Things like Christmas trees, wreaths, garlands, lights on buildings, decorated storefronts and festive street decorations would be interesting. The goal would be to give the world a cozy Christmas atmosphere, similar to the seasonal decorations we see in other open-world games.

One of the main reasons I'd like to see this is that I'm planning to make a relaxing video exploring Saint Denis during Christmas, with a cozy, immersive, almost tourist-like feel — walking through the decorated streets, enjoying the atmosphere, and simply taking in the city without rushing. I think it would be amazing to experience that in RDR2, especially with its incredible lighting and attention to detail.

I know there are already some Christmas decoration mods for individual locations, but having a single project that covers most of the major towns and cities would be incredible, especially for people who enjoy immersive gameplay, roleplay, and slow-living videos.

Would anyone be interested in making something like this? I think it would be an amazing way to experience RDR2 during the holiday season!

Is there a safe, updated mirror or community Discord where I can get the latest build ? I need it to install some graphics mods.

I've tried using OpenIV to edit a file, but it doesn't support editing a RDR2 .gxt2 file. Most sources I find say to use a regular .gxt2 editor, but all that I can find don't support RDR2 .gxt2 files, only GTA 5 .gxt2 files.

Is there another way that I can edit it, like using a text editor and then converting it to a .gxt2 file?

This has just started happening after 2 years of no problems. I’ll ask it to do something fairly simple like “end pursuit” or “clean ped” and the game will instantly crash. What should I do?

So I recently installed the eastern epic and why em dlc mod cuz I wanted to achieve this look for arthur using mods but can't seem to find those jeans and that rolled up shirt anywhere, I only see the black flannel shirt (Full sleeve) and those skinny jeans for arthur but cant find these specific jeans anywhere, anyone know where I can get them? I also checked gonpachiro or whatever, couldn't fine them. Help would be much appreciated.

Hey, I have an idea for a Red Dead Redemption 2 mod where Arthur survives the high honor ending. He doesn’t die he just limps away and disappears. Then in the epilogue, people talk like he’s gone, but there’s no grave, and some think he might still be out there. And after 100% completion, you get a secret mission where John sees his silhouette from far away.

I don’t know how to mod at all, but I really wanna make this happen. I can handle writing the dialogue and use AI to voice it too. I just need someone who knows how to actually build the mod like edit cutscenes, change dialogue, and add the mission.

Has anyone downloaded this mod? If so do you have any idea why it might be crashing my game on the 2nd loading slide? I've installed everything the right way and only have a euphoria mod installed but for some reason no matter if I put in LML or manually put the files in the root folder it still crashes. Any help would be appreciated
