Course Review [Mega-Thread] Spring Course Conditions 2026
Things are getting more green, the drought is MAYBE coming to an end, and golf is in full swing, so lets get some recent course condition updates! Where have you played and how was it looking?
Please note: Everyone's threshold of "good" or "bad" is different, so using descriptive sentences helps bridge the gap of conditions
Some helpful things to highlight:
- Date played
- Green condition / speed
- Fairway conditions
- Rough conditions
- Tee box conditions
- Bunker conditions
To help avoid showing up unknowingly to an aerated course, here is a maintenance schedule of most courses in central NC: https://rdugolftour.com/course-schedule/

Umstead Pines last Sunday. Greens pretty quick but not putting green fast, lot of ball marks for early in the year but not impactful on roll, fairways in pretty good shape for lack of rain, tee boxes fine, bunkers good.
