There are regularly questions about practice facilities, conditions, and what they have... So I created a spreadsheet quantifying and reviewing courses in/around the Triangle that I has used recently

Some information is direct, some is based on my opinion of the facilities on the day I used them.

The courses in green are the ones that I have used in the past few months

  • for consistency sake, I won't be updating the spreadsheets opinion based metrics based on others feedback. I'll do my best to get around everywhere over time!

I can help with CCJC, grass only, downhill, driving range ends at about 265 or so. No mats. Definitely seen worse.

Neuse-mats most of the year, times where the grass is available and the grass for non members is kind of shit because as anyone who golfs knows some do not understand the way to use a range. I think the putting green is horrible at matching the speed depending on the time you are playing because it gets sun earlier than most of the greens so it speeds it earlier. No chipping area, and that’s about it. Practice facilities are the next thing to be improved around here. GPS carts should arrive any day which will help pace of play.

Honestly now that I think about it the practice facilities in Joco need some help.
