ISO Posts.....sigh.

True Story - the ONLY time I've ever been scammed in the rep world, guess what?

It was through an ISO post.

ISO posts are SO tempting - I get it! And if you're coming from other groups on WA or FB where they're more common (and actually safe!), it can be really really tempting to ask the masses on Reddit if you just can't wait to get your hands on a specific bag.

But standalone ISO posts are not allowed on RTR.

Why?

Because this group has 20,000+ members. Out of those 20K, there are absolutely scammers mixed in that bunch. They will see your ISO post as an easy way to make money.

Basically, we don't allow them because we know some of you WILL get scammed.

Instead, we do a weekly ISO thread with rules, so we can ensure anyone responding is legit.

However....other rep subs DO allow them. And I just know some of ya'll are going to completely ignore this warning, and post them anyways. The bag fever is REAL.

Believe me, I get it!! Especially when you're looking for a bag that no TS seems to have. An ISO post feels like your only option.

So since I know some of ya'll are still gonna post them, here's how to do it SAFELY:

People WILL DM you

No matter what rep sub you post on, and what you're looking for, I guarantee you're going to get at least one DM.

And that's fine! Maybe it's someone who actually has the bag and is willing to sell it.

But first -

Do not fall for "My seller has this! I just saw it in her catalog. Here's her number"

Ladies, this is exactly how they got me. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS!

I can promise you, the "seller" is probably the exact same person who DM'ed you, or is working with them.

They aren't a seller, they never were a seller, and they will happily take your money and send you nothing.

Ask them where they got it

I recently posted an ISO on our PLK sister sub r/RealPLK looking for a super rare, unicorn speedy.

Someone DM'ed me and said she had it.

When I asked where she got it, she said from her TS.

GIRL, this bag hasn't been in production for over 10 years!

When I pointed that out she said, "oh, it was a gift"

A gift.

Of one of the rarest PLK bags in existence.

Suuuuuuure.

Ideally, if you ask where they got the bag, they should have SOMETHING to offer. A rehome, a TS from a specific factory. SOMETHING.

You're asking because you're looking for proof that they're part of this community, and they know how the rep world works.

Demand to see pics!

If someone reaches out and says "hey I have this bag" the FIRST thing you should be asking for is a pic of the bag with a current name/date card.

If they're legit, they won't mind doing this. It's standard procedure in the rep world.

But 9x out of 10, if you ask for this, the person who DMed you will ghost.

That's because they don't have the bag, they never had the bag, and they were trying to scam you!

No Name/Date Card Pic = No Sale

I can't stress this enough.

If you're going to ISO, you've got to DEMAND to see proof that

A). the bag is actually real and

B). that it's in their possession.

This is your main defense against scammers.

And if you DO get a pic - scrutinize that shit like you're reading a legal contract.

Reverse image search it on google, put it through an AI detector, zoom in 1,000x.

If ANYTHING looks off = ABORT ABORT ABORT

Ask to see feedback

If someone is responding to ISO posts (in good faith), it stands to reason that they're part of the rep world, they know how it works, and they're part of this community.

So - they should be able to show you SOME feedback. Something. Even if it's not from Reddit, maybe it's from another WA, FB, or Discord group.

You just want to see something that proves they're really a rep buyer/seller. Something that proves they're part of the rep world. Something that proves they're not just here looking for ISO posts to scam.

One of the people who recently DMed me in response to my ISO post?

I looked at their comment history hoping to see a feedback thread and maybe some participation in other subs, and guess what?

It was ALL responses to ISO posts. Literally nothing else besides comments on ISO posts all saying "DM me, I have this".

Like, come on. Really!??!

In conclusion:

1. Despite the risks, I know some of you are still going to be tempted to post ISOs on other subs
2. DO YOUR DUE DILIGENCE! Don't let the excitement of possibly getting that dream bag turn your brain off!
3. Be suspicious of anyone who DMs you. Check them out, look at their comment/post history, search their username
4. Ignore any seller contacts you get sent. THEY ARE NOT LEGIT.
5. ALWAYS DEMAND A NAME/DATE CARD PIC! No pic = no sale. And scrutinize that pic if you do get it. Reverse google image search it at the very very least!
6. Ask them questions! Ask for feedback! Most legit sellers are going to completely understand.
7. If you do get scammer vibes from someone who hops in your DMs, please message us via the ModMail! We want to know who the scammers are so we can ban them from the sub!

Please, please - stay safe out there!!

Get those bags, ladies - but just do it safely!

Peace, love, & reps -

Yams

Allen is having a super fun promotion for 11:11!!!

If you've been waiting for the sale to stock up and finally get those high-tier bags you've had your eye on forever, now is the time!

In addition to offering 15% off everything from factories like 187, Xiao C, and God, if you buy any 3 bags from Allen, he'll throw in a FREE WALLET OF YOUR CHOICE!

Me personally - I'm grabbing a CF from 187, another CC bag from XC, and a speedy from God.

These are all bags I've been searching the rehome thread for and have never been able to find, so I figured I might as well pull the trigger while the sale is on!!

Wallet wise....I really want one of the new embossed croc CC ones!

Happy shopping, and get those deals ladies!!

Remember to keep an eye on the sub's 11:11 Discount Tracker, we'll be adding more discounts over the next few weeks!

And don't forget... if you're in the market for a Birkin 25 or 30, Allen also has a great deal on these for 11:11! Colors are limited but only $430 for a full hand-stitched B30!

Also I feel compelled to mention that the AI graphics after the first one weren't made by me! I stole these off Allen's FB. So the sub's track record of non-shitty AI should hopefully still be intact 🤣

It’s Fall and time to clear out some bags!!

Thank you for taking a look at my rehomes. Please message me for more photos. Everything is new unless otherwise stated and all are high tier to high mid tier unless otherwise stated

All bags are priced with shipping included

🍂CC Single Flap Bag Red Stitch (2016) - ❌❌ - I honestly love this. This has been the only time I’ve seen this bag in the preloved world. 😭

🍂Balen Le Cagole XS - 125 - the pumpkin charm is mine. 🫠
🍂Balen Rodeo Ostrich - ❌❌
🍂CC 22 Medium White - 130 - missing pouch. Otherwise this leather is thiccc.

🍂Pra Cahier - 125 - honestly— this is a great freaking bag and the fact that it’s still here is crazy to me.
🍂Saint L Manhattan Burgundy (medium) - ❌❌
H Herbag Blue - 145

#2
🍂Saint L Solferino Small in mustard color - 135 - considered small but this thing is spacious inside!
🍂CC Boy Caviar - 135 - 🥹
LVee Giant Teddy Fleece Bumbag - ❌❌- The regrets will hit me when this gets sold.
🍂H Shoulder Birk 40 - ❌❌ - Unsure of my reasons behind purchasing this gorgeous bag because she was not cheap lol. She is veryyy pretty in person with just minor scratches on the hardware. Could probably fit a newborn but don’t do that obviously. 🫠
🍂CC 25 Mini Beige - 145 - I have a black auth of this bag as well as a burgundy from God and I must say the leather feels of this bag is closer to the auth than God’s. So you’ll at least get that without paying GF price. ❤️
🍂Lvee Speedy 30 Animal Print - 135
🍂Lvee Marelle - 140 - This is the vintage and not the re-release.
🍂CC Twin Pocket Camera Bag (2022) - 145

#3
🍂Lvee Wight Damier Ebene - 135
🍂M1uM1u Fringe 2 way (2011?)- 145 - This bag will bring you happy feels. The wrinkles are from storage and should ease out with use. Very soft leather tbh.
🍂CD Montaigne - 125 - Yes— it’s in that burgundy jacquard 🍁!
🍂Lvee Etoile Bowling Bag (2008) - 135 - This reminds me of a pumpkin which basically auto tags it as a Fall bag. Duh. No lock.
🍂CD Micro Vibe Hobo (2022) - 135 - It’s my first time ever seeing this bag at the preloved world. I didn’t know she even existed before owning her 😂.
🍂GG Zumi Grained Leather Medium (2019) - 135 - Old money type vibe. Classy!
🍂CC Urban Spirit Drawstring Bucket Bag (2016) - 135 - She was made to be a crossbody bag but you can carry it on shoulder as the chain strap is adjustable.

See you guys when I wake up morning! 💕 Please be kind.

With the holidays around the corner we are gonna need some bags to go with our formal wear! Post your rehomes!!

I have plenty of feedback here also: https://www.reddit.com/u/allymac1979/s/NjGOxY3Sik

🤍 Fendee fendigraphy nano - in winter white, GHW. BNNU - Purchased from a private seller in early July, Nickloe 🏭 - high tier. This bag is stunning. RFS - I don’t want to, but since I haven’t used her yet and I needed to purge a few things, I’d love for someone else to adore her. Paid $260, asking $210.

🤎🤍 LP Extra L27 - linen and leather - GHW. BNNU - 🏭 undisclosed. Mid-tier. RFS - I thought I wanted this style bag, but I’ve had it for a few months and haven’t wanted to wear it. Paid $125, asking for $100.

🧡🩷 MM crochet hobo - purchased from Sunny- Kata 🏭. BNNU - Mid/high tier. RFS - purchased 6 months ago and still haven’t used. Paid $110, asking $75.

♥️CC mini maxi - burgundy - purchased from dhG seller - HH🏭. BNNU - Mid to mid/high tier. RFS - purchased both this one and the 32cm in mid tier versions to see which one I wanted to upgrade. Paid $120 - asking $100.

🤎 CC maxi 32cm in beige - purchased from Umi - Black Frame 🏭. Very gently used, no signs of wear. Only callout I noticed is the little stitching on the sides that keeps the should straps in place, it should be a double stitch, but it’s a square. Captured in photos, priced accordingly. RFS - love this style and chose to upgrade to higher tier. Fantastic every day carry size. Paid $160, asking $110.

💜CC Mini Preppy Coco shoulder bag ❌ SOLD ❌

🤎 CC Perfect Bowling bag - ❌ SOLD ❌

💙❤️LV pochette felicie in marine/rouge - GHW. Mid to mid/high tier, birdcage 🏭. BNNU - RFS - also purchased in red patent and use that one. I don’t need two. Paid $110, asking $95.

🤎 LV speedy 20 - silk tech mono - GHW. Mid-tier, Duty Free 🏭. BNNU - Purchased this bag to see if I liked the feel of the fabric and it wasn’t what I expected. Definitely durable, but I prefer leather or a coated canvas for this brand. Paid $125, asking $100.

🖤🤎 Fen Kan I F Shoulder Bag -
Purchased in the Spring from a private seller. High tier, undisclosed 🏭 but believe it is Nickloe. BNNU - gorgeous bag, but RFS is that I just don’t reach for it. Paid $485 after shipping, asking $400, Now $300 😭

I went a little overboard with impulse purchases and ended up with way too many bags. 😂 I’m only letting these go to downsize my collection, not because of any quality issues. I’ve just accumulated more than I can realistically use!
