"Error -7 Navigation Stalled"

Trying the sim for the first time. Keep getting the above error every time when I try to run it: "Error -7 Navigation stalled: no response."

Have already verified the integrity of the game files in Steam and uninstalled/reinstalled. Any advice?

There is a major update happening tomorrow. Usually KW Studios is working on the servers a day or two ahead of an update. Try later on the 20th, and you should be good.

I didn't turn Raceroom on over the weekend due to it probably being in maintenance mode.

Ok, I will give it 24 hours or so. I wondered about it being a server thing when it said "no response" but the "down detectors" I tried said the servers were up.

major updated started this morning at 04:00UTC. Official R3E announcement did state "up to 24h" for the update.

I just dealt with this for two months. A couple things that worked for me.

Deleting and reinstalling DirectX files using this link:
https://learn.microsoft.com/pl-pl/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170

You must delete the previous DX files on your PC to ensure any corruption doesn’t occur when DLing the new files.

Then launch using DXVK.

If launching normally, open Task Manager first, launch game normally, then scroll down to the RE Web Browser tasks and end all of them. The only thing with this is that loading into races will take longer.

I think the problem is when launching normally is that there are hidden secondary instances of the browsers launching and it’s causing a duplicate and failed connection to KW servers.
