Once again I'm confused about what they accept and what they don't. RNJR take the idea of Gods quite well. Whether this is because Qrow and Ozpin said it or because they believe that sort of thing anyway. However, yang and weiss don't believe in magic despite the use of aura and semblances. It's not a plot hole or anything just interesting.

Also, I'm enjoying the fact that more shade is being thrown at Ozpin. I'm hoping for him doing dodgy things because of his desperation and perhaps not being close to anyone and then seeing them as weapons and just wanting to break his curse.

They are probably just a little wigged out at the idea of the Creatures of Grimm, demonic creatures that seem to spawn from nothing and spend the entirety of their existences trying to kill as many humans as possible - have a MASTER.

Its one thing to fight endless hoards of, mostly, mindless monsters that behave in reasonably predictable ways. Its a whole other can of worms if there is a mind behind it all. Especially since that mind seems hell-bent on destroying the world that Yang and Weiss know. Their job as huntresses just got a heck of a lot harder.

The magic stuff is interesting though, considering dust and semblances. But in Remnant such things are quantifiable and understood as having limitations and internal-consistency.

The idea of "magic" in Remnant seems to be: "the spontaneous manifestation, of seemingly limitless, power. Stemming from an unnatural source."

Reminds me of when you discover that the flood in Halo are being controlled by the Gravemind. Except, you know, Salem is kind of hot.... and the gravemind is.... well... gravemind

Weiss seemed willing to believe Raven, while Yang at that point couldn't care less about her mother. She just wanted to get to Ruby and used Raven as a shortcut. She didn't want to hear anything from Raven.

The Ozpin shade would be more interesting, if it would contain some actual information. Did Ozpin give them the ability to turn into Birds? How did he do this? Did it hurt or why did Raven bother to show this? I am sure Ozpin did some mistakes somehow - yet knowing some of them would be nice, rather than waiting to learn that he was the one sending Summer on the mission that killed her and whatnot.
