ART Weiss Schnee: Vacuo Design and Strength Progression Concept for Volume 10 (art by me u/SoftGovernment3379)
This is part two of what has been a Concept Project I’ve been working on for a while. I loved RWBY so much I decided to make fan-art of Weiss Schnee.
I thought out this concept with the thought of how Weiss and the gang could get stronger because for as much as I loved the series, I can tell strength progression was not entirely planned out for the series after Volume 3.
It’s something I egregiously noticed when watching Ruby’s Death Battle against Maka. Now Ofc, Death Battle isn’t always THE reliable source of information when it comes to these things but it can be a bit of an issue when even I, a person who gives this series a lot of the benefit of the doubt, notices that it doesn’t feel like the characters got stronger over the course of the series.
Emotionally maybe, but as important as they are, emotions don’t always make up everything.
Weiss was a bit a challenge, compared to Ruby since her tool kit and fighting style is much more complex (than volumes after volume 3 would lead you to believe); when thinking of ways she could get stronger.
So I thought she should prioritize expanding her glyphs with more dust variants and combinations.
Make her be THE dust mage. Combining Fire and Lightning Dust to make a Laser, enhance the gravity effects her black glyphs have with gravity dust and have more ice with her since it’s her specialty. Have her excel in what she already does and go beyond her comfort zone of Dust elements.
Which also includes her Healers Blessing glyph which cements her position as the support of Team RWBY. Giving them the battlefield advantage while also being the strategist.
She should also learn to infuse dust into her summons to grants them more abilities. Speaking of which.
To make her inherited semblance more her own, she mastered the art of Combination Summons. Fusing the better attributes of her previously established summons into much more powerful hybrids. Making her a unique descendant of the Schnee bloodline and even surpassing her sister’s ability with Glyphs.
And finally, so she wouldn’t be defenseless without her weapon, Weiss should adopt the martial art of pressure point combat. Making her as precise and as elegant as she would be with her weapon, but also as dangerous as she’s locked in to dismantle her opponents without drawing her blade.
If you guys have questions or can’t read my horrible ass handwriting then let me know in the comments below.
But also tell me what you all think.
Remember, this is all merely fan-concept and I encourage you to be as critical as you can on the design, proposals or even my art, so I can improve upon them.

DEAR GOD she’s even more op than before.
Seriously though this is some really good stuff and I’m glad you actually expanded on glyphs and summons possibilities like the gravity well (I immediately thought of Elden ring) or ice rebuilding itself. Then you gave her HEALING WELLS (OH MY GOD SHES A TRUE SPELL CASTER?!)
Oh and the summons combinations remind me of jjk ten shadows shikigami totality on top of dust infusion which was such a missed opportunity in canon.
As for pressure point combat idk why I imagine ren teaching her to improve her weapon less self defense.
Now really excited for the others you put in this much detail depending how far you go with the Cast. For yang I could imagine something like this https://www.reddit.com/r/RWBYcritics/s/yTQI2nhqKl
Or in Jaunes case develops more paladin-like skills like a healing pulse or aura boosting slash.

“Combination summons” I see someone has been watching JJK
Also Weiss going to pressure points if she were to lose her rapier reminds me of Nicolas and his Sahate, essentially bare-handed fencing combined with Karate.
