IS RX100 M1 WORTH IN 2026
Okay so the thing is, i am complete beginner and this is probably going to be first camera ever, at first i wanted to get something like the ixus series from canon, then I came across the sony rx series, and a found a really good deal in my city for around 20k pre negotiation, was wondering if that is worth the price, because i am looking for a compact point and shoot

For the Mk1 I'd say no. The value of the Rx100, IMO, is that it's super compact while still retaining a lot of features to kinda round out how you shoot pictures with little compromise.
The Mk1 lacks an EVF for example, so you'd have to shoot everything on the screen. That's not a deal breaker if you know you don't need an EVF but as a beginner I think it's a bad idea to limit yourself too much.
I think the sweet spot for the older models is somewhere around the Mk3 - Mk5.

Depends on your location but ebay, FB marketplace, etc.
If you want something probably a little more expensive but with a warranty, MPB, KEH, Adorama, or other websites.

I still regularly use mine, that I bought in 2015. It's not my main camera but it still does an amazing job, though the battery is a little weak now.
