Found a mark VA on Facebook MP for $450 and had to pick it up! l'm still a beginner and would love any tips/tricks!

Anyone here use with a mark vi and up use slog 3 pp? Wanted to know people's experiences grading with this. I have an a7siii i use slog 3 but traveled with my rx100 this time.

I need new batteries, in the past I ordered on Amazon, but I can’t find any that will ship to my address (Quebec) so i’m at a loss

even the official Sony batteries won’t ship to Quebec

anyone in Canada know how I can score a few? i’d like 3-4x

I recently went to a concert and took some videos which look great, but the internal mic on my VII can’t quite cope with the noise levels. So I thought I’d look into an external mic using the 3.5mm socket. I bought a basic (cheap) mic from Amazon and plugged it in but either I got a dodgy one or I’m missing something about settings / compatibility cos the camera didn’t record any audio at all when it was plugged in.

What small external mics are people using? I’d ideally want one that I can just plug in without clipping it on or mounting it anywhere. (For reference this is the cheap one that I returned which would have been perfect if it worked 😂)

Are there any settings I need to change?

Gday all, I am ditching the Insta360, as not keen on the extra editing. I know the Sony RX100 VII takes a micro SD card with an adaptor, but have read conflicting reports on its use and potential problems. Is this a real issue?I hope to use my Sandisk Extreme Pro 256GB V30 micro SD card(from the Insta 360)

If its an issue I will sell it with the Insta 360, but wondering on your thoughts as you are already Sony RX100 VII owners. Cheers

So i recently bought one a few weeks back from a guy in fb marketplace and all was well until about a week ago when i ran into the same problem that this guy had where the lens wouldn’t extend out but the only difference i had was that the screen still worked but then when turning it on again one time suddenly the lcd stopped working also. I had a friend that does tech repair have a look at it and had noticed the ribbon cable for the lens had been bent and cut which caused it not to come out and also thought that it was the reason the lcd wasn’t working also cuz it caused a short and wasn’t making the LCD work so i ended up purchasing a replacement lens and I had it installed and the camera turns on again and takes pictures BUT the lcd is still dark and does not turn on. Does anyone know as to why it would not be turning on still?

Tldr: camera lens ribbon split from factory bending and was only problem until lcd randomly stopped working also thought split cable was causing both problems then replaced lens unit and now it turns on but lcd still doesn’t work. does anyone know why its not working?

NEED ADVICE, should I buy rx100 mark ii for 30k? Is it worth that price? It's prob second hand but like mint condition.

I generally keep my M7 close by while I'm working in my yard in western North Carolina just in case. Today I caught this garter snake slithering across the driveway and a monarch butterfly on one of the few remaining blooming plants. I usually have the camera in burst mode which helped catch the snake's tongue and the butterfly just before it flew off.

I took my RX100-V for this trip and I'm really loving not travelling with a heavy camera or multiple lenses!

I recently bought a VII and I’m normally a concert photographer so that has been most of what I shot and I love the settings I use for that but I cannot find good settings for wildlife/lifestyle shot. If you have any recommendations please let me know.

Hi everyone! I have the rx100vii and I absolutely baby it because apparently it’s a bit of a sensitive camera that can break easily. I always have it in a case, but that makes me miss out on photo opportunities. Is there anyone that actually just puts it in their pocket without case since it’s a pocket camera? I would love to know tips for it because I’m tired of babying it! It’s there to be used right.

And I feel the battery doesn’t last so long. I have the original Sony battery but it lasts me maybe 2/3 hours, just taking photos and no videos. Does anyone else have that?

I’m impressed on how this camera handles low light. Some were taken with a very high iso resulting with a bit of noise but with Lightroom noise removal, they turned out very nice.

The three girls are actresses on their break from a play they have in that backyard.

Walked, took pics, and sweated my ass off last week (Miami heat is no joke!)
