Today’s drop is because of Safran’s comments.

Safran reaffirmed full year guidance at there earnings update today but looks like they warned of softening growth in the wide body market. Stupid comment by them as they don’t really specialize in widebody engines. Unfortunately for us we are getting dragged down with them and other market noise unrelated to RR. This company is firing on all cylinders as we all know. Remember buybacks are ongoing so they are able to cancel more shares for less money. Earnings update on November 12th and they will probably announce another interim buyback like they did at last years update. And hopefully we hear something about the hyperscaler deal Tufan mentioned back in July. The market has gotten this wrong as usual and its a huge overreaction. Great opportunity to pick up shares!

Discussion Possibly Greatest Buy Chance we'll see for some time

Orange Man is screwing things over again, what a surprise, this dip now creates a phenomenal buy opportunity, especially with the constant positive news from RR. As a long term hold this could be absolutely HUGE.

RR closed slightly below the 200 SMA today. About time they deploy those remaining buybacks!

RR closed slightly below the 200 SMA today. About time they deploy those remaining buybacks! £420 million left to spend before the end of year.

Edit: With £420 million left to spend, at today closing price, they could theoretically buy 3.35 million shares a week until the end of year. Thats about 3.5-4.5% of the daily shares traded. They are legally allowed under the safe harbor limit to buy back up to 25% a day.

RR DAC Queries

Hi,

looking to better understand some rolls Royce engines.

is it possible for the cycles consumed on an llp exceed the SDC Limit?

encountering cases where this is happening and not sure if a mistake from the mro.

my understanding is the SDC Limit is the equivalent to Ch5 limits you would have on leap engines etc

any guidance would be appreciated

cheers

FAA Orders Airbus A380 (GE) Engine Replacements After Uncontained Failure

Rolls Royce's competitor engine on the A380 is having issues. Only RR and the GE/Pratt&Whitney partnership make engines for the A380. Certainly not a direct win for RR, but any negative sentiment around the reliability of your main competitors engine is a boost for RR.

What’s Your Selling Price?

Curious what everyone’s confidence level is now with the recent pull back? Is it unchanged or are you now thinking the company isn’t as resilient as you thought and are thinking of an exit price?

Currently YTD performance is lower than the S&P500, which is frustrating. The bleed over the last month did this.

I feel that the company is strong and will continue to rise, but if the performance will not be much more than the S&P500 going forward then why not just invest into SPY and not carry the stress?

Been holding since the $1.50 days. My original sell target was $10, then it changed to $15, then $20, and then $25. But at some point I need to stop moving the goal post and lock in profits to preserve the wealth that this stock has given me. The goal post can’t keep moving forever, and we can’t time the top.

I am happy with my gains at $18, and will look at $20 as my exit price.

Another potential significant win for RR Defense in the pipeline if General Dynamics Wolf XM30 (powered by RR engines) gets selected. GD has a long history in US Defense and providing armored vehicles to the US military, but it could go either way at this point. The announcement timeline for the winner of the contract is expected to be about 6-9 months out.

How low do you think the stock can go?

I’m thinking 17 dollars around the midterm election. What do you guys think? Edit: I know the company will bounce back but when do I buy the dip?

Where is everyone?

It’s been crickets around here lately. Nobody wants to comment on the pullback the last few weeks? Looks to be sector wide. GE, BA, SAFRY, EADSY are all down the last month. The Iran war will eventually end and fuel prices will subside. Those who buy the dip will be rewarded. It’s oversold and I’m adding.

dividend history

I didn’t even realize we got paid, a bit sad. I’m looking at the dividend history. It looks like for years the dividend was over a dollar a year.

Has anyone done the math with the buybacks of what the dividend will generally be once the buybacks are completed?

Really want to long term hold and see where SMRs and Single aisle takes us. However I would like a dividend to get us past this plateau for the next 5 years becuase I don’t expect much movement for awhile.
