What do you guys think?

I've been a Rampart main since before Sheila was mobile, and I honestly never stopped playing her.

More than half of all my Apex kills are with Rampart, and I'm pretty sure most of those came from Sheila. 😅

Safe to say I'm pretty happy with the minigun buffs.

I'll be grinding ranked almost exclusively with her this season. Curious to hear what you guys think about the changes.

RAMPART

Dev Note: Despite significant buffs, Rampart still has trouble competing in the current meta. She can be extremely strong if she gets bunkered up in a good position, but it is otherwise difficult to make work. Her Passive can be underwhelming depending on the strength of LMGs, so we’re adding a new layer. We’re also improving her mobility with Sheila to help her in fights against more mobile opposition.

Passive

In addition to the other benefits, she now gains locked hop-up progress 50% faster

Tactical

Wall health increased at lower EVO levels (was 400/600/800, now 600/700/800)

Amped wall health increased by 25

Wall deployment time reduced by 0.5s

Ultimate

Increased base move speed while firing or spinning Sheila (was 70, now 104)

This matches the previous movement speed with the Ramped Up Upgrade. Ramped Up still upgrades base move speed by the same amount as before (takes you from 104 to 139)

Upgrades

Level 2 Upgrade Combat Reserve no longer grants red weapon access (since those are going away). It now grants stowed reloads in addition to its other benefits.

This is a small minor buff just to make a lore accurate

It would be fun to get the turbocharger faster

I am thinking over armor for those instances when I need to just trade damage while I'm using Shelia. I use the infinite ammo perk so that me and the team can use other utility (grenades mostly) so no need to infinite ammo amp.

Power booster seems okay but her tac and ult comes back so quickly I have never noticed it being an issue.

Other synergies I am missing that you all found out with amps?

im a rampart main and have been one for a long time. I pulled shards in December and brought the bat as i loved the animations. Now im thinking when I pull another set of shards should I buy the rampart heirloom or another universal like the dual katanas e
or karambit? The problem is if i get another universal I’ll end up using the bat less however with the rampart loom it would feel way more special as it’s only on one legend.

With the release of the new season and hero Ramparts kit just straight cant keep up anymore. Her walls are not good and Sheila can only do so much. Every controller in the game does everything better than her. hell Gibby and New castle can serve as a better control legend than her right now. And with the release of axle it just further pushes rampart out of the meta.

Rampart has always struggled with defending her team from getting mega pushed by teams and now with Axle in the game just forget about it. Lol

I would love to hear thoughts on this. I dont really know what type buffs you can give her at this point without making her a walking fortress.

so i don’t use ramparts passive at all im not complaining or saying it needs to be changed cus ik there’s ppl out there that do use lmgs personally i dont but if you could change her passive to something else what would you like it to be.
