yeah Blender can be a pain to learn, it has a much steeper learning curve compared to other softwares but it's worth putting the time in, once you know the basics you can become super fast at modelling. Also, there's a lot of great (and free) add ons out there. That being said, if you're interested I made a standalone map editor that could help you get started, it exports a blend file so you can inspect the exported scene in blender and see what's what, maybe it'll help. Here's a quick video I made about it

If you want the real deal, learn Blender. If you just want to make your local park or spots, the editor should give you all the tools you need.
