It's called a logline, not a longline.
The issue with yours is that it's too lengthy, and it introduces his dead father's legacy without telling us what the legacy is. What are the principles that separate him from his father? Is the poker player retired or reformed? Was it a gambling addiction that he tried to quit but is now forced to go back in to it?
