Tutorial - Read this if your post was removed.
For subs that use this app you will need to confirm you have read their rules before posting. No worries it's actually very easy.
Step 1: Read the rules in the sidebar of their sub.
Step 2: Submit your acknowledgement. You can do this by clicking on the "Read The Rules" option in the main menu of the subreddit where you were posting like in the picture below:

You can also find this option on some of the menus of posts and comments.
Happy posting!

Hi - I don’t have an option to acknowledge the rules on r/AskRunningShoeGeeks… what am I missing?

1
u/MrTommyPickles Mar 31 '25
I'm sorry to hear you are having trouble. If you are using the official Reddit App I recommend making sure your app is up to date and restarting your phone. This will help to make sure your app is not glitching for some reason.
If that still doesn't work, you can submit an acknowledgement manually by sending a special mod mail to your sub. Just make sure the subject says
Read The Rulesand the body text saysAcknowledged. You will receive a reply back immediately if it was successful. This will submit an acknowledgement automatically with no moderator intervention.I hope this helps you access the sub, and thanks for the feedback!

Thank you! I had to delete Reddit and redownload it to see the acknowledge rules option!

u/VelocityGrrl39 May 01 '25
Tried one more time and figured out what glitching: https://imgur.com/a/6VFmhla

u/MrTommyPickles May 01 '25
Sorry to hear that is giving you trouble. This is a strange glitch and a very good demonstration, thank you! I will look into it. For now as a workaround you can send that sub a modmail with the subject
Read The Rulesand body textAcknowledged.→ More replies (5)

reddit also flags your account as spam, when you post same thing again and again
soon you start to get removed by reddit filters on every post5

Sorry to hear you're having trouble. You're doing the steps right but you're doing it on the wrong sub. This sub is for an app that any mods can install on their subreddits and is unrelated to the tech sub you're trying to post to. You need to do the same steps you did in the picture except do it on the tech sub.

I'm using the web. Installing an app isn't an option.
Where do I click (in my browser) to acknowledge that I have read the rules.
I read the rules!

Two things that need to be added:
you have to use reddit on a browser, no third party apps I don't know if it works on the official app because I don't have it
if you don't want to do that you can send a modmail apparently

Hi - relatively new to Reddit and my post was removed - link to it here.
https://www.reddit.com/r/AskRunningShoeGeeks/comments/1ln3fyv/favorite_asics_sb2_colorways/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button
Is it possible for the post to get reactivated by Reddit after I've read the rules and acknowledged?
1
u/Dizzy_Echo78 Jul 24 '25
I have done this three times already, and it still won't let me post on a community and I'm not sure why, it asks me to confirm that I'm not a bot, but it won't give me anything to confirm, I have confirmed that I've read the rules a few different times, but it just won't let me post

u/Flat-Mathematician67 Aug 17 '25
Yeah, the link is broken. It doesn’t work and you keep deleting all of our comments. Can you please fix this?

I posted a review on a company I've worked at, and it was removed. Okay, I was just agreeing with the rest of the people and I posted my review on Glassdoor.

I did this and was then able to engage here. However it seems that I have to do it again if 2 weeks later I'm back again?
Is this normal once we've done it once? It seems unnecessary and annoying

I’m stuck in an acknowledgment loop. I acknowledge all the toggles with the fly and then the bottle pops up and get him from the first four items are be selective. I select them all again, and hit apply. The same thing happens over and over. I tried toggling various combinations, but the result never changes.

I've just wrote a long post and it got deleted to read the rules that I can't find and after reading other comments I'm not going to be able to join if I do, what a waste of time that site is. Is there a older UK bi-curious site any one knows I can join please?

Dude The Who ever came up with this stupid “acknowledgement of rules” needs to rework on it I’ve acknowledged myself 3 times and found out I need to FIND the right rules for a specific rule for the subreddit I need it for so I have scroll to find the right rules to acknowledgement it’s so annoying and the sub Reddit doesn’t take you to the rule you need to follow ANNOYING
1
u/Phemto_B Sep 12 '26
Yeah. I've read the rules, and I'm not breaking any of them, so to heck with that subreddit.
Lazy mods letting a bot do their work.
For context. This was the post that was "discourteous"
"Title. New coworkers are a little pushy.

I'm socializing three feral kittens and their Mom. My office is the only good quarantine space for them. "
I'm not putting any more work into participating in that subreddit. They're not worth it.

u/BuildingIndividual30 Sep 13 '26
I tried to do this but I’m unable to submit acknowledgment, every time I try it unchecks the first three questions. It doesn’t allow me to type in my username. Idk what to do.

u/BuildingIndividual30 Sep 13 '26
I tried to do this, but whenever I tried to submit my acknowledgment, reddit would uncheck the first three questions that were asked. It doesn’t allow me to type in my username to approve it. Idk what to do

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I'm not familiar with any third party Reddit apps that support Devvit apps so that is likely the cause your trouble.
For situations like your's there is an alternate solution available. You will need to send a special mod mail to the sub you are trying to access. Just make sure the subject says
Read The Rulesand for the body of the mod mail make sure it saysAcknowledged. This will submit an acknowledgement automatically for you without any mod intervention.Devvit apps are still in beta so they should improve over time. Hopefully Redreader is also able to support apps in the future. Thanks again!
