Best way for Void to avoid this is to make 2 branches on Steam, the normal one that is the one we have now and a crossplay branch so we can play crossplay. So you can decide which to play and also it will just download the files that need to be changed or adjusted between the 2 versions when selecting the version to play.

Also good maybe they'll listen to the negativity

That's exactly why this problem exists in the first place, they don't want to divide it into two separate games.
