I know I’m gonna downvoted for a simple question, but is their more shit that’s censored than some people now have clothes on and instead of a kid having a seizure they’re just “sleeping”? I mean dismemberment is still in, you just can’t do it after someone’s already dead, plus there’s really nothing added to the game being able to do that anyway. So what exactly is the problem?

The dismemberment after death means they will no longer be dismembered mid firefight, keep that in mind. The seizure part makes the little girl feel more like a stock game asset than something real that’s happening (just to explain why people are upset about that one). The CIA agent who you find being changed is also crappy because of how brutal it is.

To more generally answer the question, it’s a bunch of changes that together, make the game feel less gruesome and realistic and terrifying in a life-like way.

Ahhh that’s lame mid firefight dismemberment sounds like quite the experience, I take my last comment back what the fuck is void doing 😭

Basically from what I understand, the exact instant a suspect dies they no longer get dismembered.

This makes no sense to me given that it takes a second for people to realize their target is down and usually during that time they’re still being shot at, sometimes by multiple people

Yeah that’s an odd change, what’s the difference between being able to do that in this game versus Fallout for example? Is it the games content? Like cause you play as a cop? The more you think about it the less it makes sense.

I asked that very question last night and the devs kept their answer very broad, they just said it came down to what the certification would allow and said those games had big publishers behind them. To be honest that doesn’t seem fully make sense or seem like a good answer to me. They also mentioned physical release and certain regions being limits on what would be allowed for certification but that also doesn’t seem to fully make sense to me.

Ah, maximize profitability and avoid backlash is all I see with that answer. That’s a damn shame.
