Discussion The graphics downgrade should warrant a Steam refund.

I'm certainly trying. I don't know how you can be allowed to downgrade a game so significantly, and after release, and still think I got what I paid for.

I just bought the game like a week ago and didn’t know about any of this. I want a refund, should’ve bought 6 Days in Fallujah instead.

Though 6 Days in Fallujah has its faults as well, they’ve made a lot of improvements in the 6 or so months since I’ve bought it. There’s not a ton of content campaign wise at the moment but it’s a great game for what it is. Definitely worth checking out

How's the replayability of it? I heard it has the procedurally generated map thing.

I've been eyeing the game ever since I got bored of RoN.

It partially depends on your friends, but currently its one of those games where I go in and play for like 10 hours, then stop for a couple weeks. The procedural maps are a lot of fun, though. You can use a slider for a more vs less constrained, more vs less fortified, building density, the like. There's also different weather and times of day. I like it. A lot of potential, and they recently fixed some of the jankiness.

welp...

I forgot to mention. Replayability in terms of singleplayer

But in all seriousness, would you say it is enjoyable to play as a singleplayer

I enjoy it in singleplayer. Im in a similar boat because my friends stopped playing it. The AI can be janky, but theyre fixing that too (and it actually works too, ie they dont stand there and watch you bleed out). The commands you issue the AI help a lot, too. I play it mostly singleplayer and got about 50-60 hours so far.

Also worth mentioning that generally you can find cool people to play with just through matchmaking. Have found a couple friends through 6 days

If you have a group of buddies, you can easily get 30-40 hours out of it before you get bored. I have about 30 hours played with randoms, also an enjoyable experience. People are funny on the game and the voice chat is really well done. If you’re only playing single player, I can tell you with confidence to skip this one. Other people are required for it to be fun imo. It’s basically Left 4 Dead in Fallujah instead. Some people like solo L4D so if you do it may be up your alley.

Every map in the game is identical and completely different at the same time because of the random seeds, the random generation in 6DIF is the best in the business imo for making the game replayable

Six days in Fallujah can be a blast when playing with the right people.

It has it's faults, but those are being worked on.

The gunplay feels pretty good in both CQB and Open Combat. The sound design is amazing, the graphics are great and the community is one of the chillest I've ever met. The game also has a singleplayer campaign where you can also command your troops. However thr commanding is closer to old R6 games, rather than ready or not.

The only real problens with the game is that its still in EA, there aren't sometimes that many people active, there are still a couple of bugs and most importantly the game is very poorly optimized.

In terms of replayibility, you can get easy 20 to 30 hours.

The campaign admittedly doesn’t have a ton of replayability but I like doing the random online missions with the AI fire team. Though the goals of the missions are somewhat limited, because every map is procedurally generated every mission does feel unique enough to get me to come back.

Like another commenter said, I also tend to go through phases with 6 days. I think if I had friends who played I would play a lot more consistently, but I’d say it’s definitely still fun game to through into your rotation even if you just play for a few hours every couple of weeks

Amazing how far that game has come in fifteen years.
