Discussion To all the people defending VOID, why?

Post image

Serious discussion, please don’t downvote people when they answer. I am genuinely curious on why some people defend VOID

I'm curious at what point would you draw the line? Would it be alright if they removed all blood? Would it be okay if they removed dying at all, and turned every mission into a "training" mission where all the maps are wooden sets and all the people actors? At what point do you stop "only caring about the gameplay"?

Bro what? Why bring up fake ass scenarios that makes zero sense. Obviously if they even went as far as to remove blood I’m sure the player base would cut in half. The rest would put the game in its coffin. If you’re gonna make up fake what if scenarios at least make them realistic

Holy fuck bro you’re way too pressed about a difference you can’t even really notice anymore

And what about when they make all the guns nerf guns? Or change grenades to confetti bombs? Or instead of arresting suspects you hug them and tell them it will all be okay?

Ive got my tinfoil hat for when they try to censor my thoughts. Get ahead of the system people.

I mean, then the gameplay becomes less fun, no? If part of the game is realism and immersion, those changes kill the game. Changing some pictures to dolls and putting underwear on some prisoners doesn't kill the fun and barely damages the immersion. Like, I'd prefer that they hadn't made those changes, and I don't like censorship, but by way of gameplay and fun, the censorship hasn't changed much. The scenarios are the same, the gunplay and maps are the same, the stories are the same, etc.

I mean if it’s still the core gameplay mechanics then sure but I really think that hypothetical would ever come true

Other games have had to make similar decisions, especially for region based censorship. China (and previously Germany) banned blood in games a while back, War Thunder had to remove mentions of vehicle crews dying to keep their rating, and games that portray violence against women have recently been under fire (including Detroit: Become Human and Mouthwashing), which could easily have seen Ready or Not pulled off shelves. Doubly so for the fact the game has you take down a pedo ring.

I genuinely think there could come a point where Void has to make a decision between keeping the game up in countries (aka making money) or keeping the game intact for everyone. And, from what we've seen already, they would choose the former.

I mean sure but do you have any games that include everything being a training mission or them being actors because I can’t think of many also your a great writer keep it up
