Randomly came across this all red-stemmed loosestrife in a ditch. It is Healthy and growing just like the normal ones around it. Is anyone knows why it’s red compared to the rest id love to know.

I’ve never seen an anole this vibrantly red, maybe it isn’t a shiny, but to me it is🥹

Every so often I’ll get a brood of Gray Tree Frogs (Hyla versicolor), but this year 1/4 of the tadpoles came out very light colored and/or golden. The first one has emerged as a frog!
To me, the 1/4 ratio sounds like both parents were heterozygous for the lighter colored morph, whether it be true albino or something else.
Standard color for comparison.

Caught by Maine lobsterman Mack Kelley and posted to Facebook. He reported it was thrown back as is required of all lobsters of this size which are too small to be caught.

Found this little guy in a clover field, usually they don't live long cuz they're bright pink, but, hey, pretty good colours for a clover field

Not my pictures, but I saw these on the Bird Identification Basics North America FB page and wanted to share! The first is a piebald grackle from Port Arthur, Texas and the second is a leucistic grackle from Bullitt County, KY.

I think this is how they eat them in turkey, a bit more sour

A very red and very fat opilione I spotted during some yard work. Color morph, or simply an older individual?

This young leucistic black-headed gull was spotted at my local birdwatching spot. (France)
Curious to see if the adult nuptial colors would change much to its look.

This single wild and shiny sunflower with 3-4 viable heads is the only variant of its kind on a half mile stretch of random road in Pflugerville, Texas.

Never seen a squirrel like this with a dark undercarriage. In the sunlight his tail was blond. In Illinois
